Thanks for cheering me up with this installment of the game and your story of meeting Alector. My days lately haven't been all that great so these videos do lift my spirits every day. At first when you began the story, I thought the tall gorgeous German lady you'd met was going to be Tani da Real. This sort of thing did kinda happen to me once. My best friend was at the bar at FCN back in 2010 and was sitting next to a really sweet (and gorgeous) lady who turned out to be an artist from the alley. I eventually came along and met her too, and joined them until she had to take off. We've been friends with her ever since and always look forward to meeting up with her again at the con (now MCFC). I'd love to be more than just friends, but I don't see that happening. The advice of not specifically trying to meet a best friend or a mate and it will happen among those you circulate with depends on one main thing: you have to be social. For those of us who have a very difficult time being social and never get out, other methods of meeting people have to be used, and sometimes it requires setting a goal of meeting someone.
