Jesus, 2. Stop reading this, get out from in front of the screen and get as much rest as you can.

It good to hear from you and see you are moving forward. The description of Saturday and the hangover is a normal ish thing, it's what I was hoping to see sometime Saturday. I was worried you'd have to hit the hospital for some of the DT symptoms as they start surfacing. I'm hoping that ... If this is day 16, the next 8 are less surprising and moreover that your blind spot comes back to normal vision function. I'm glad you have some coverage. This would be a nightmare if you didn't. You're recovering and you'll be stronger as time progresses, I don't have doubts about that. I agree with Jonathan that you need to rest. Find something soothing (to you) to listen to, and chill out in the dark.

First of all, it's good to see you sitting there looking alive and well like usual. But holy shit, blind spots in the eyes are serious. It almost sounds like some kind of retinal detachment, although it wouldn't be in both eyes in the same spot at the same time. I'm really, really concerned about this. Sure, it would be great if you succeeded in quitting drinking, but at what cost? From what you described of the doctors they seemed to take little notice of your efforts to quit drinking and the subsequent detoxing. If you feel they're just jerking you around, find another doctor/hospital. Here's hoping the eyesight comes back in the next day or so. Feel free to slow down in how much you reduce your drinking every day to cut back on the withdrawal symptoms. I for one won't hold it against you, and you'll still be keeping your promise. We're all pulling for you!

Good to see you back. I was getting a little worried there for the past few days.

eyes aside it sounds like things are going well as far as the alcohol goes. I'm proud of you for holding yourself to this.

Once you fully quit and give it a bit of time, I'd hope all your symptoms will go away. Still worried about you. Here if you need me!
