I feel like the collectables might have told the story as you found them, but i like how the ending showed you didnt need them to understand the story.

Skyfox

This was such a great game! Beautifully done in all the arts (story writing, graphics, and music), and such a bittersweet ending. While all the events that happened could be what the father imagined his son was going through in death, another possibility I came up with is that it's kind of like Ethan Carter in that all the events and imagery were generated by the mind of a dying boy, in this case drowning at sea. In the end when he falls into infinity and joins the starry universe may be when he finally let go and died. And then when it showed the father that's just what he personally experienced separate from what his son did. Maybe as Liam said more of the story would have been revealed with collection of all the collectibles so there's less ambiguity, but it probably doesn't really matter in the long run. You definitely have my vote to do more games like this! (BTW, the game I want to get for you won't be released until later this year. Hopefully by the fall.)
