You aren't kidding about the video game music! Many years ago when I first saw and played Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider 2 (which I saw before the first one), I was blown away by the fully orchestrated music tracks. Since they were CD tracks they were full CD quality, and so different from the chip tunes I'd always known up to that point. Even the Sega Genesis had some great music that I'm not sure if it was digitized audio or really good synthesis. Now, I love chip tunes and always will, but at the same time I love what game makers have been able to do with the music tracks now that they have MP3 compression and CDs, DVDs, and Blurays for all the storage requirements. So far in watching the bird play through games since the beginning of OBG, I've downloaded the soundtracks of 5 of these games so far because they're so good.
