The first time I went out of my comfort zone and did something completely different, I loaded up my van, drove up north on bald tires, and went camping in the wilderness for 8 days. I'd been stressing a lot for quite a while and needed a total escape from everyone and everything, and that did it. Despite some difficulties I had to deal with, it was a really great experience. The next time I went far out of my comfort zone was 1 year later, when I went to my first furry convention. I was (and still mostly am) very withdrawn and unsocial, so I really didn't expect I'd have any fun. Well, it was totally life-changing (and that is no exaggeration or hyperbole) and I've been a furry ever since.
