Rico and Carmen were riding the train into the city for work as they did every weekday. It was another mundane Monday ride after a fun-filled weekend of backyard parties with their friends. The two passengers were still somewhat hungover from all of the alcohol-fueled festivities. "God, I hope it's a light work day today." Carmen thought to herself. Unbeknownst to the riders, a prototype weapon was about to be tested at a nearby military base. The senior officers were curious about the capabilities of their new XX-ray machine. The train was within a mile of the facility. As the weapon was about to be fired, the weapon overheated and exploded. A shockwave went forth in all directions, radiating XX-rays within a three-mile radius. The train shook violently and became bathed in a blinding white light. Rico and Carmen lost their balance and fell to the floor. After a few moments, the rumbling stopped, and the light dissipated. "Carmen! Are you okay?" Rico asked concernedly. "Yeah! I'm alright." She answered woozily. The two slowly stood to their feet. "That was strange. What the heck was that?" Rico wondered. "No kidding! I have no idea." Carmen responded. As the train rolled along, Carmen began to feel a strange sensation envelope her entire body. The feeling was warm and tingly, and it grew stronger. Suddenly, the world around Carmen started to look smaller. Rico standing next to her looked even shorter than usual. Then, the realization hit her like a ton of bricks. "Holy cow Rico! I'm getting bigger!" She screamed as she continued to get taller and taller!
