Changes & restructuring (Patreon)

hi! i'm making some big changes regarding how this patreon is going to work. here's what they are and why i'm making them:

tiered rewards are going to be eliminated for now. i've recently made all of my work available for free/pay-what-you-want after deciding that since all the things i make are for girls like me (trashgendered, broke, dealing with effects of trauma and/or various neurodivergencies that make continued worldly existence difficult in myriad ways), i wanted them to be able to have my work. i am in a better place than i've ever been in right now and i wouldn't have been able to make it here from where i was without other trashgirl artists whose work was readily available to me. after being harrassed, robbed, and turned away at the US border when trying to visit my girlfriends recently, i decided that i don't want to put my work behind a paywall if it can in any way help or comfort other broke trashgirls in similar or much worse situations, transient or ongoing. following that, it doesn't make sense to have reward tiers, as mine were all based around various parts of my work being made available for free.

there are probably going to be a couple exceptions to the above - large-scale, long-form projects such as fallow might still have a price tag, owing to broader audience appeal + larger time investment. anything i choose to charge for will be made available to all patrons for free (with the possible exceptions of collaborations since they're kind of a case by case basis re: the other person(s) involved).

i've talked a little bit about project-specific reward tiers (extra content & etc) with some of my friends who i'm collaborating with. that might be something i'll experiment with in the future, but for now, it's just going to be a single tier.

some girls have told me that my work has helped them feel less isolated or trapped or hopeless, which is really important to me, but i also know that not everyone can afford an $8 bandcamp download or etc. this is a pretty personal decision but it's what feels right for me. thanks!! i hope to have a lot of cool new stuff ready for you soon with the help of this patreon and the friends i've made over the past couple years!
