it took me MANY listens to decide what i thought “Welly Boots” is about, and i personally feel it’s about a child having lost their parent, sung from the point of view of the parent in the afterlife! i think the boots left behind at the end show that even when you feel like giving up, there’s always someone who needs you or wants you to keep going. the song always makes me emotional, i’m so glad you enjoyed :)

Love, love the rose!!! Also, ahh peak happiness with bts is the best. All the shows those clips are from are so good. Always reaching peak happiness or peak reflection with them, but always comfort and family. 💚💜 Can’t wait to watch the rest of this! I wasn’t supposed to be back at all, but I couldn’t resist. 🤣

Mikrokosmos!! Ahhhh! This performance is my second favorite. The first being the Japan performance which was the one that got me into BTS!! And to your comment about their outfits being tame, 🥰 I wish I could send you all their classic “suit” looks, which I happen to be partial to!! 💜(Those and jeans). 💜 The suits they wore for For Youth at Music Bank. The sparkly suits they wore for SYLY The Final. The Dynamite performance at the FNS Music Festival. Just to name a few!! Tame, but classic! 🥰💜🥰 Thank you for all these BTS reactions!! The little girl in the video is not Jason’s daughter, but it’s still so cute. I’m so glad you enjoyed it! We went to the show at the beginning of the month - if you ever get a chance to see him live, I highly recommend it. He is just as engaging and personable and kind as he seems. He talks so much about his mental health and how he uses music to help. I laughed, I cried, I laughed while crying. It was a balm for my soul.

I always end up with my cheeks hurting from BTS' s happiness. The game you were trying to figure out consists of each of them choosing a movement and when someone does your movement it's your turn to do it and then do the movement of someone else so then it's that person's turn. The Rose!!! I found them also thanks to Snooze and fell in love with their sound. If you're curious to check an album I highly recommend HEAL, you'll keep finding range. And yes, the one who sang the most in this requested song was Woosung. I personally think Jin always shines in all their Japanese songs. I'm manifesting a rock album from Jin (low probability) but man imagine those high notes in that genre! 🤩

Oh I love these BTS compilations so much, no matter how bad my day could be going, they always put a smile on my face. So happy you reacted to this performance of Mikrokosmos, I love this song so much, it's one of my BTS comfort songs. And yes, let's talk about Taehyung's album cause I'M SO EXCITED! Can't believe that this time next week we'll already have it (finally) and I'll be listening non stop. The vibe of the album just looks so good from the two tracks that are already out (Love Me Again and Rainy Days), I really loved the sound and lyrics of them. Don't worry, I won't spoil anything cause I assume you haven't listened to them yet hehe. The project doesn't have many songs, so I believe you want to hear it all together. Ugh can't wait for setember 8th! As for Don't Leave Me, I really like the song, it's not my favorite japanese song from them but I really like it because of the chorus. Usually I'm not much of a fan when they do japanese versions of their korean songs, cause I'm already attached to them the way they are (kinda silly of me 😅). But when they write original japanese songs they slay so hard, and they do it so beautifully, like you just saw/heard. Your Eyes Tell, Crystal Snow and Film Out are my japanese top 3 favorites, but not just that, they're definitely in my top favorite BTS songs in general, 3 masterpieces. Super excited for your reaction to Tae's album and for more BTS content 💜

hey michael!! so Big Time Rush's show on Nickelodeon was not about the forming of the band, but a fictional show about 4 childhood best friends who became a band. The characters had the same name as the boys in real life (like Kenan & Kel for example), but they were still playing characters. The guys did have to audition for the band/show, but that was totally unrelated from what the show is about. hope that clears some stuff up :)

Newsies is possibly my favourite musical and Sante Fe is my favourite song from it - the Jeremy Jordan clip was SUCH A TREAT! I already voted for it on your poll - even if it doesn't win this time, I hope you eventually ge a chance to watch it. I definitely view it with childhood goggles, but I think it's a fun time regardless.

Y si fuera ella is a song by Alejandro Sanz originally, but jonghyun changed the lyrics completely and made it his own ( the original one is also really good it has beautiful lyrics too tho it talks about something different) The gd and taeyang performance is iconic ! I remember watching it live back then, they are the rock stars of kpop, always so disruptive and unafraid, I think you missed a little cameo of bts in the audience towards the end

In re: why I hadn't sent this to you way earlier, I think it's because SHINee has SO MANY incredible moments throughout their 15 year career that it's hard picking from month to month what to send you. I've always tried to rotate the coverage in the sense that I always send you the full group one month and then the next I send a member's solo work and then back to the group again and repeat that pattern until you've gotten an even sprinkling of every member's individual talents as well as their combined voices in the group. And, now that I've also been sharing my tier with your commenters, that has slowed my ability to share some of their biggest moments. Just wait until you see what else they've done throughout their careers. There simply is SO MUCH that will leave you breathless and in awe of these five men. It's crazy. As far as BIGBANG goes, this group is simply cut different from every other. Any time they were forced to lip sync for award shows or the like, they would intentionally pull their mics down and mess up the illusion because they prefer live performances and don't like faking it for the sake of a silly rule. It's the same reason they never do complex choreography. They're wholly capable of it, but they learned early on that they can engage more with their fans if they're focused on eye contact over showmanship. The result is always that the showmanship comes out through sheer charisma which is evidenced in every performance they do. There are so many incredible music videos, but I always prefer to send you lives because -- and to quote you -- it's always like a party on the stage when they perform. Thanks as always for your incredible reactions. You're such an amazing human and I appreciate the thought and care you put into everything you do. <3

At the center of all peak happiness with BTS is Hobi and I miss him. That performance of Mikrokosmos is what I dedicate to my seniors every year. Like others mentioned, Jin singing Japanese is so special but I love him in this song. I’ve been listening to The Rose for a few months and I really like their song, the Definition of Ugly. I know I’ve mentioned this before but I hope you’ll watch Suga’s day 3 performance of Snooze from the D-Day the Final concert. In fact you should watch the whole concert. Thank you!

MICHAEL, The Rose, someone finally requested them and I have ascended. I always knew they were right up your alley. They are an indie band that writes their own stuff sometimes individually but most of the time collectively. They have a lot of range as you mentioned. They are incredible live, I have seen them a couple of times and got to see them at Lolla and they did an afterhow and this song was an anthem. If you can get tickets for thei upcoming tour you wont regret it! I hope you can add them to your list and react to one of their albums or just more of their music because I think you would love them. If you want to hear kinda the oppossite of this song listen to their newest release "You're Beautiful".

1:21:59 in case no one answered: Yoongi's tie is a classic Korean knot that would normally have been used to close the front of a hanbok - the traditional robe you'll see men and women wearing pre-European influence, and at current day formal occasions. Using it as a necktie in the 'modern hanbok' style is basically an awesome fashion statement on him - as you can imagine. BTS are performing in the Gyeonghoeru Pavilion of Gyeongbok Palace, the main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty - all considered Korean National Treasures. :-D
