If its a Pixar movie there's a 90% chance its going to break you. There's one or two that don't make me cry every time but pretty much all of them do

I need Michael to react to The Book of Life, he would LOVE the soundtrack and story

omg im so excited. My hispanic grandma went with me and my mom to the movie and she cried. It meant a lot to us, even though we're not mexican, just to see a movie from pixar with a hispanic family.

Mariana

Pixar guarantees to make you cry always, but I do think this has been the one that made me cry the most. Also, as a Mexican, I can say they did their research for this movie. The way the people talked, the little customs and big ones from la chancla to the day of the dead. The only thing they spiced up were the alebrijes, which we do have and are as colorful as depicted, but they are not considered spirit animals or have any corelation to day of the dead.

Wanted to give you a hug multiple times watching you cry 😭

Kayla

ugh this movie makes me sob so much every time. what a spectacular movie and concept. it makes me so proud to be Mexican and have a Pixar movie based on Mexican culture be this amazing and loved.

I love this movie so much even though it makes me cry every single time I watch it. I am an Indian and follow the Hindu Religion, we have something very similar, like a time period that is dedicated to our ancestors and we put out offerings, so it was beautiful to see it in a movie like this. More than anything the overall message for this movie is something anyone can relate to, no matter where you are from or whether you follow a specific religion or not. It's heartbreaking but so meaningful! Definitely my all time favourite Pixar movie.

This movie never fails to make me cry! I cried the whole way from the cinema the first time I saw it. It's so beautiful and moving!

Was my first time watching coco today along with you Mike and damn what weird timing. As I am writing this, just after watching it, it is the 25ht of April, and tomorrow (or tecnincally today for me as the clock just passed midnight), the 26th, is my great grandmother's 100th birthday. It felt so special watching a movie named for the main character's great grandmother on today of all days. I won't get to celebrate with my oldemor (great grandmother in Norwegian) as I am in Australia and she is back home in Norway, but whilst watching this I felt so close to her. I feel like so few people get to have close relationships with their great grandparents because time sadly takes them away from us, either through death or dementia. Growing up I was one of very few kids I knew who still had great grandparents who were alive, having both of my mum's grandmothers around. One lived to be 101 and passed away a few years ago, and the other is still going strong. She lived on her own in an apartment until December where, despite being fully capable of living alone, she decided she had had enough and moved to a home for the elderly. She still remembers everyone and everything and loves to gossip. And tomorrow she is turning 100. We need to appreciate our family and friends whilst we still have them around❤️

Yoongi just did a promo for Road to D-day and had to recommend 3 movies on Disney+ and one of them was Coco (along with soul and life of pi with Olivia Rodrigo’s doc as a bonus). I just thought it was a nice little coincidence since you just reacted to it. https://youtu.be/d8cJN51DqQk

Coco is just an amazing movie. It hits hard and it is marvelously done. The animation is stunning and the message is really beautiful. I do cry everytime I watch this.

Unity Lisette

started crying as soon as hector started singing in the caves and then miguel sang to coco and then coco passed away and from there it was just full on sobs, love this movie but i cant handle it

I was waiting to make time to rewatch this with you! I'm sorry you were upset with how sad this movie is, but I find it more emotional than sad, it's a beautiful movie visually and in the storytelling, but as a Mexican, it's even more special to me, they really brought so many wonderful elements about our culture. Also, as I'm watching this, the 6 year anniversary of my brother's passing, was just last week, so the timing was on point to make for me a sad movie even sadder. There's a quote I always remember in these times form Harry Potter And The Curse Child, Dumbeldore says “Those that we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch. Paint...and memory...and love.” I just love that because it's so true, loved ones are always a part of us as long as we remember them, talk about them, love them. <3

"I haven't used the word 'lagoon' in years" LMAO I had to pause to laugh
