I think we got part of Camila’s side in La Buena Vida. When i heard that song i thought she meant the problems they had at first, but it might have been pretty recent.

The Little Mix performance was so emotional, especially after the announcement about their break, they put so much heart into their performance and seeing Jade so emotional and that hug at the end really got to me too! I hope they really enjoy the tour and really enjoy the break afterwards, they've worked so hard for so long, I'm excited to see what they'll do individually and definitely agree they'll be supporting each other and come back together eventually <3 Little Mix is forever!

I still can't listen to It'll be Okay without ending up in tears. I don't know how he managed to convey so many emotions in one song: sadness, regret, unconditional love, acceptance, and hope. I think he's trying to say it was more important to keep their friendship intact, and stay in each other's lives in some capacity even if it means walking away from the romance. I'm sure they're both hurting right now. I've never heard a more respectful song about the ending of a relationship, and I hope they find peace, heal, and are able to keep a friendship at the end of the day. Who knows what the future may bring for them.

Love all three of Joshua's songs and agree with everything you said about them. Really hope he'll be able to move on and be happy now. About 5SOS...their anniversary show was one of the greatest things I've ever seen! You'll love it!

Cat

Little Mix had to do the performance twice. The first time they started crying and had to re -do the performace

This Little Mix performance feels so weird. It's like it's the end, but we have a whole tour next year. I guess it's because the news is so fresh. I'm very happy for them and I will support all three of them in whatever they do next, but it's still emotional. They deserve it. They've worked so hard for a decade and they don't get even half of the recognition they deserve. I've loved a lot of groups over the years, but I don't think I've ever loved a group as actual people outside of their work as much as I love these women. They are amazing people and I just want the best for them.

I'm so glad I heard the Shawn Mendes song here first, . because HOLY SHIT the lyrics, "I'll make it easy" / "we don't have to fix it / we don't have to stay / I wi'll love you either way" and damn, have been exactly there and I'm so glad I didn't have to hear this alone. Watching you empathize with the song and the lyrics, be emotional, but find the beauty in it as a song too; there's something reassuring about sharing that experience even if not directly. But holy *&*!, what a doozy of a reaction slate for you to do all together!! I appreciate you ending this part with 2011 for all our sanity because as sad as the lyrics are in some ways, it's also joyous. I love that 2011 opens with Calum, the band's first writer, and trading vocals with Michael; their voices together are gorgeous and emotional -- and the fact that they go back even before 2011 is painful but heartening? It's been too long since we've heard this much of Michael's beautiful and very individual voice. He and John Feldman also produced the HELL out of this. Like you said, weaving those sounds of different eras together. I can't believe they pulled off the anniversary and made a song that's so specific and meaningful to them and their fans but also just a great freaking song totally on its own terms for this moment in time. And it seems to really be getting positive notice which is wonderful and well-deserved. Did 2011 make you think of Louis Tomlinson's Change at all? There's something connecting them for me -- I don't know if it's just topical, or that Louis and Michael are both artists with distinctive voices, very emotive singers (and Calum too tbf), something about the type of storytelling that is both specific, immediate, sad, and yet hopeful? I don't know that there's anything there musically, like chords or something, as I'm not a musician at all. It might just be feeling. Good lord this is long and I'm sorry, but *what* an emotion video. Thank you!!!

You should definitely react to the 10th anniversary 5sos show!!!

Michael thank you so very much for your wonderful reaction to Shawn's song, and all of the other ones as well. I have now seen your reaction 8 times and every time I watch the emotions that I have are ridiculous! That being said as sad as this song is, there is optimism in it as you said. I don't know if you noticed but the first time he says "the future we dreamed of is fading to black" it seems like there is no hope, but the second time he says " "IF" the future we've dreamed of is fading to black". That little 2 letter word "If" changes the meaning showing optimism and hope. The English geek had to point that out. Only time will tell but I sure hope they find each other again. I understand they were at different places in their lives. I'm also glad that they have remained best friends and lets not forget they share a dog Tarzan. Joshua Bassett good on you for pouring your heart out! Three beautiful songs. Thank you for these reactions Michael and just your vulnerability and tender heart speaks volumes about your character. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your page a little over a year ago. Keep up the great work. I'm going home to Toronto and if I see Shawn, he's always in plain sight, I might, (that's a big might, because believe it or not in TO we treat famous people like regular Joe's) approach him and say hello from all of us on your page. everyone. Merry Christmas!!!

you should react to josh's interview with zach sang. it's really incredible to see how joshua handled the past year and the amount of wisdom he has to share. honestly, if you don't react to it, i would recommend watching it on your own time. josh is a truly amazing person

In 2011, Luke and Calum were 14 years old, Michael was 15 and Ashton was 16. Yes, I'm so glad you noticed things of all eras, it makes me so happy!! To me, 2011 sounds like the perfect mix of their albums Youngblood and SGFG. The violins at the end OMG
