Since you loved seeing the cast interact off-camera, I would suggest checking out the different buspool karaoke videos. They sing a bunch off songs from Season 1.

Honestly, I see everyone's complaints but I really loved this episode. I just wish we had one more episode before this so that we could have seen the rest of the show. We did not even see Ashlyn in the iconic yellow dress. We did not see the transformation. But as for this episode, I loved it!

First of all, I want to say I enjoyed the season as a whole. There was a lot to enjoy about the finale and the season. I thought story-wise it was a little weaker than season 1, but music-wise much better. I think that the last couple felt a little rushed in terms of the story, but that didn't take away too much. I just wanted to see more performance and not jump two weeks right after Ricky falls. Basically, the pacing needed work. Just my personal opinion. I also think next season, Ricky will be dating Lily and he (or someone) will find out about the harness, causing tension. I feel like this show does a really good job setting up the next season so they have somewhere to go, but also if it doesn't get picked up each season finale could stand as a satisfying series finale. I really loved the cast performance/bloopers at the end though. I read they did something similar when they finished season 1, but they didn't get it on camera so they made sure to keep rolling this season. As for the whole Olivia music vs. acting thing, I want to point out a couple of things. First, they wrote and filmed most if not all of season 2 before Olivia's music career took off. So I highly doubt that they were intending to write her off with how they ended the season. I also think that Olivia loves this show and cast so much that she would plan any tour around filming. Or they could even do it the other way. If they really wanted to write her off, they could have sent her to the acting school and been done with the character this season. That combined with her contract leads me to think she'll be back.

I loved this episode was to emotional by the end of the cast behind the scenes. I hope Olivia stays as I feel it wouldn’t be the same . It would feel empty somehow. There was an article from Billboard stating that Olivia cannot tour till 2022 and holding spring dates due to tv commitments which makes me think of HSMTMTS as filming would start in autumn and she is still in contract so there is hope but I guess you just never know especially how much she has soared in 7mths which I don’t think anyone could have predicted it this quick at all. But I so hope for season 3 have loved this season so much ❤️As well for Olivia traitor is the next single was announced yesterday and being promoted to radio august 10 so it looks like will be getting a music video.

Season 2 was a real roller coaster tbh and i’m not upset because we see a lot of character development during the season especially, my favorite scene on the finale, Miss Jenn & Ricky’s scene showed us Ricky’s character development a lot (Minus the last Lily-phone scene, I doubt writers knew what were they doing while writing that part to Ricky). I saw you were confused while watching the Second Chance song scene, they were wearing the same outfits from Season 1, the first school scene and the audition scene, so that made the whole song more emotional. I hope we get a season 3 and I think if season 3 happens, we’ll get a summer season because of EJ’s graduation. I also think that Olivia will quit the show but she has 2 more years on her contract, even the creator of HSMTMTS said he doesn’t know what’s gonna happen at Olivia’s side of the story on the show so I think we should wait for the season 3 announcement first. Your reactions was one of my favorite things to look forward this season, so thank you! I’d also love to see your reactions to Joshua’s unreleased songs & Olivia and Joshua’s vevo performances besides The Holiday Special.

I think the best moment of this episode had to be Nini and Gina talking. Second Chances was such a good song. You can really see where everyone is at and feeling. Especially Gina when she says she's better on the run, meaning she's better off not liking anyone. EJ is currently hating himself for thinking Gina liked him as more then a friend/brother (which we all know she does) For Nini, it's more about where she belongs and who she is. Ricky it is a bit different. I can't tell if he's talking a bit about his dad and Miss Jen or his relationship with Nini or both. He seems to still care for Nini even though he knows he needs to let go. I think over spring break that song helped but maybe not enough. However I loved that they were wearing season 1 outfits and their audition outfits on the stage. It shows how far they have come from their first show. I do love that at Slices they happily accepted Howard being there even though he's with North High, but after he helped them with the blueprints I guess they couldn't completely hate him. He did redeem himself. He didn't even seem that thrilled with Lily showing up given he didn't even try and defend her. I wonder if he will transfer to East High in season 3? That would be cool. I'm also mixed on them dropping out of the competition. I think they were all excited over it at first but I think as time went on they just wanted to have fun and not worry about it. I think it is an even bigger relief for Miss Jen because she went crazy over it. She so badly wanted to beat Zac that she lost sight of what was important. Just putting on a good show. Yet at the same time, I feel like they stood a chance at winning and now they won't ever know. Lastly given Nini called Jamie it makes me wonder what will happen in season 3 because there are rumors Olivia won't be doing season 3 which is weird because she is under contract but according to the show runner she may not be coming back due to the success she's gained on her own. He said he wouldn't want the show to get in her way so it is likely she will be released from her contract. Though I hope she would at least appear in a few episodes. Maybe showing Nini actually meeting with Jamie and her success in the show take off. It was also mentioned how the scripts are written 6 months before filming so everything that happened with Nini's music gaining popularity after the Rose song kinda being so similar to her real life is pure coincidence just as the idea of Jamie coming in to help boost her music was written before she released Drivers License and became popular. It's almost like filming this season put that luck into Olivia not just Nini. So it will be interesting to see what happens. There is still so much unresolved that a season 3 would be great, even if it means Nini is off becoming famous and not seen.

Yes, the show runner and creator Tim had come out saying the script is written 6 months before filming. So clearly it had to be done before her music career took off. I'm sure when she released Drivers License filming was already done and season 3 was in the works. However due to her recent success they are unsure if she will return. She is under contract but Tim may honestly get her out of it if she wanted. It's amazing this is how season 2 ended for her because if she decides not to come back, they could easily do season 3 as she's off in Cali meeting with Jamie working on music. Even if she decides to stay it will probably focus on Nini's music career taking off. It's funny how it is similar to Olivia's life but the idea came before it. This season brought a lot of luck to Olivia I feel.

Although it was a shorter finale I loved it so much! This episode was more of a setup episode for the potential season 3. So much was set up in the last two episodes that will set the stage for season 3! Second Chance was one of my favorite songs in this season I loved it so much! I need the next season asap!

All right so I'm commenting on this late because I finally got to watch this now. So as of now, there is a season 3 of HSMTMTS that is coming together and Olivia Rodrigo is going to be in it. A lot of people are wondering how filming is going to be between her and Josh but anywayssss. I loved your reactions to the whole season. I did disagree with some of what you said, ya know about Gina (which you understood later on when more came out about her feelings) and the show being better than the movies. Yes, it is done better (that I agree with). But we have to remember they're done at different times and as a show, they're able to cover more things over time than in a 1 hour 40 min movie. Kenny Ortega did say he wished he could've made the movies 3 hours long. And I think there is more to it than that (like what they could do on Disney Channel in 2006/ 2007/2008 to what they can do now on Disney Channel/Disney+) I do love the show (something I thought going in, I never though I'd say lol). There is a lot more I could say about this but there aren't enough words LOL. Plus I did do my own reaction videos to the series. I think this show was one of my first shot at doing reaction videos. I would love it if you check those out and let me know what you think, and let me know if there is anything I could improve on in my videos. But great job! :)
