The night scene upon the rooftop of a large skyscraper was like something out of a dream, looking like a scene out of a theatre production with a large grand stairway where the elevator topped off at the top. A couple dressed like they were going to the ball exited the elevator and walked down the crystal clear steps towards an outdoor ball and banquet that waited for them at the bottom along with other couples. The men dressed all like princes and the women all in large ballroom dresses like something out of a fairytale princess story, all in different colours. And one item they all shared, eye masks concealing their faces. Like the other couples, the new arrivals also began to dance to classical music being played through hidden speakers within the light blue fake columns on each side of the dance floor. This occasion was so dreamy, so romantic, the couples all dancing together with the clouds close enough to sound, such royal music pleasuring their ears with such beautiful sounds, the starry sky so clear above them, the dance floor so clean it reflected the sky above, almost making it look like the couples were dancing among the stars. Whoever was lucky enough to go to this ball was having the time of their life with their beloved...

...all for the sole lady in a large bright orange dress leaning on the railings by herself taking a bite out of a drumstick in her hand very un-lady like.

“This blows.” The blonde haired girl sighed. “I get turned into a girl by Erika as punishment for sneaking into her gym again and she won't change me back unless I went in her place to this boring ball and dressed like......this....”

Ash, or rather Ashley as she told the receptionist downstairs when she arrived in a limo could not believe how today was going for her. Her gender changed right before her eyes, being roped into going to this “Dance Under The Stars” ball the Celedon Department Store was hosting or she would be left to remain as a girl, the Gym Leader claiming it really was not her thing but she did not want the ticket to go to waste, and after agreeing to the terms, the other girls from the Gym stripped her out of her boy clothes and into girl clothes. The prep for her engagement was the longest period she had ever spent dressing up in her life. The bright pink underwear, the reek of perfume she hated so much being sprayed all over her, the giant orange ballroom dress lowered down onto her, the tons of make up invading her once rough boyish face, the hairbrushes brushing down  her new long golden locks then equipped with a pink bow, her nails both hands and toes painted in pink too, the amount of shoes she was made to try on to figure her new “style” as well as size since her feet seemed tiny than her old boy feet, then trial after trail after trail of walking in high heels till she got used to it, and learnt to walk more feminine. Even walking how she used to had its issues as her chest now bounced with her movements. She looked down upon her giant cleavage, wondering way the hell did they have to be so big, similar to her round behind too. They were now resting on the railing she lean against. She wanted to cross her arms in protest but had to just settle with resting her head against her arm as she bite into her food again.

“What was even the point of me coming?” Ashley moaned. “It's basically a couples thing! Did Erika just want to teach me a lesson like embarrass me by looking as girly as can be in-front of a large crowd? To have boys try chat me up? Is that woman so lonely she just turns any boy into a girl? God this is stupid, if it wasn't for the free grub I would of just gone back to the Pokemon Centre and just lied that I was there the whole evening.”

As Ashley threw her finished chicken bone away falling down the tower to land on some nobody to be annoyed at, a figure walked towards the former boy.

“You know a lady does not eat so carelessly.” spoke the figure.

“Sorry to burst your bubble mister but I'm not exactly a...”

Ashley turned round to see the person that walked over to talk to her. Her conversation stopped mid sentence as there was something about the person that seemed different with the others. She could not pin point what that something was, maybe it was the fact somebody stopped to go talk to her, the smartly dressed prince outfit they was cloaked in looking more lush and different to the others like a fusion of a prince and a duelist, the mystery behind the eye mask, the first sight regardless of the reason made her blush.

“I knew it, a lonely shy princess like you had be the prettiest one.” the man spoke.

“Urm...” Ashley looked down in embarrassment, to which she was reminded at what she had now against her chest. “...y-you sure my face is the reason you came over here?”

“Now how can I possibly make that decision if I only saw you from behind?” the person asked. “You've been in that same spot since I arrived.”

“Ohh....then I guess....” Ashley had butterflies in her stomach. She was starting to feel lost for words. Ashley could not help but little out a girlish giggle. Was this how a woman felt when complemented by the other gender? It felt kind of...nice.

The speakers began to play the next song, and the other dancers either went over to the food table or continued dancing.

“Could I have this next dance?” the stranger asked.

“Ohhh, I really shouldn't.” Ashley panicked a little. “This kind of dancing is so fancy and I never really....”

Ashley then found a hand placed onto her own, inviting her to the dance.

“It's okay, I'll lead.” the owner of the hand insisted politely, guiding their lady towards the dance floor. The shy blonde girl's heels clonked as she walked awkwardly towards the dance floor, still not entirely used to wearing them having only just learnt that day. At that moment, thoughts ran through Ashley's head over how the heck she was going to even dance wearing shoes she was very new to wearing...and the fact she was even invited to dance with someone she just this moment became antiquated with. Everything was happening so sudden and quickly,  her eyes widened as her dance partner placed their other hand on her curved side, then wrapping the hand around her back. Embarrassed, her eyes looked at the other couples dancing all acting normally but taking note of their hand positions so she could mimic it herself, placing her free hand onto her partner's shoulder. They began to move in a slow circular motion to dance to the classical music being played. The boy turned girl slowly looked up from staring at the blue rose attached to the stranger's royal jacket to look at the face of her partner, their gazes locked on like a strong magnet to metal, unable to break apart. Her partner let out a confident smile as they finally saw her face look back.

“This your first dance?” they asked.

“Y-You can tell?” Ashley blushed at the question.

“You did look a little nervous as we walked to the dance floor.” the more experienced dancer answered. “I probably rushed you into...”

“No, it's okay...” Ashley stopped her partner mid-sentance.

“Wait, why am I saying it's okay?” Ashley thought to herself. “I have no idea what I'm doing!!!”

“It's not too hard, you'll find as you engage in conversation while you dance, you start to forget you're even dancing that it feels as natural as walking.” explained the stranger. “I learnt that from contests.”

“Ohh, so you're a coordinator then?” the gender bent boy asked.

“Yes, I travel region to region partaking in Pokemon Contests.” her partner answered. “It's actually how I won an invite to this ball. How about you?”

“Me?” Ashley thought quickly what to say. “...about the same, but I'm a trainer.”

“A regular trainer you say?” chuckled the partner. “I would of thought a lovely face as yours would be doing contests.”

Her face glowed much redder at the complement, even in he whole boy life was Ashley ever called “lovely”.

“Lovely?” Ashley tried to hide her face be looking down her the white rose attached to her dress. “No, I'm....”

“Beautiful? Gorgeous?” the stranger added, making Ashley look up at them again.

“I...dunno what to say...” the very shy girl bit her red lipstick coated lip.

“How about the name of that sweet face?” her partner requested.

“My name? It's....erm....” Ashley was truly lost for words at this point.

“Would you prefer a nickname since we're all wearing masks?” the partner asked. “Like mine, the Living Dueling Prince.”

“Oh err......I can't think of...”

“How about the Blushing Lilly?” the Prince suggested. “It suits your soft red face...”

“Oh I'm blushing?” the Red Lilly looked down again. “I'm so sorr......EEP!”

The shy Blushing Lilly moved forward in a stock at the sight below her.

“What is it?” her dance partner asked.

“We're dancing...on the night sky!” Ashley looked down at the reflective dance floor, mirroring the bright stars and moon above them. “I didn't notice because there were so many people on the dance floor....now there aren't?”

“Indeed we are.” the Prince smiled. “Looks like we won.”

“Won? What did we win?” the Lilly asked.

“The cutest couple gets the dance floor to themselves.” her newly met acquaintance answered. “The judges tapped the shoulders of the other couples as they were eliminated, annnnnd yup, there goes the last couple. I think you getting closer won us our private dance.”

Ashley only just realised her head was against her partner's chest, her heart raced a million volts a second as she could hear the prince's heart beat in her ear, such a strong confident beat compared to hers.

“Oh my gosh, I'm so sorr...” the Lilly tied to apologize looking back up.

“Excuse me one second.” her Dance Partner turned their head and caught a rose with their mouth being thrown over to the winning duo. Ashley looked in awe as her partner looked back on her blank red face, she thought it was the coolest thing she  ever saw, her feats as a Pokemon Trainer being forgotten in that one moment while the Prince used her mouth to place the rose her head of long blonde locks. “Figures, even the local flower merchant much think we're good, and I'm sure he's been in  business for ages.”

Ashley looked and saw an elderly man behind a table selling roses waving back at her, signalling something she was unfamiliar with.

“What is he...?” the confused gender bent girl asked while the Prince looked.

“Looks like he wants us to seal the deal of this moment.” her dance partner giggled.

“What do Seels have to do....”

“A kiss of your lips.”

“K-K-K-K-K-K-K-K-K-K-K-K-KISS?” Ashley reacted like she just lost a Pokemon League...again. Her first kiss? In her whole life? As the opposite gender? “This is all so sudden....”

“Is that a no my princess?” the Prince moved their head forward towards hers.

“I don't know...this is all so dreamy...I'm dressed like royalty, dancing among the stars with...”

“Dancing with...”

“Someone so....mysterious....dashing....h-h-handsom.....no no, I mean someone I just met....”

“Is that you being honest, or your heart?”

Ashley ran out of things to say, her new feminine side was taking over with strange new emotions, she was one more amazing compliment away from belonging to her prince.

“As pretty as those stars are below us, they got nothing on the ones in your diamond eyes.” the Prince stared at Ashley's sparking eyes.

“......take me...my manly charming prince.”

Ashley moved forward to lock her lips onto that handsome smile of the prince who kissed her back. Her head numbed as her new found lover stroked her long hair, all worries melted away with each brush of the hand as time stopped for her embrace. Girl or not, she had fallen for her dance partner, placing her own hand in the Prince's short red hair. Not one hour had passed since they met but the Dueling Prince had won her over. The Prince's lips felt as nice as their words towards her, she did not want to stop kissing them. After a long exchange of passionate lips, Ashley finally withdrew slowly for air. Her closed eyes opened slowly, she was meat with the sight of her beloved, the Prince's eyemask was now unbalanced, revealing half the face of the person she just gave her first kiss away.

“Wait....you're.....a....” the even more blushing lilly stuttered before everything became most hazed. Her new emotions piled up too much for someone alien to them, it was no one she passed out.

The princess awoke from the greatest sleep she had ever had. So warm and comfortable in her bed she did not want to move.

“A dream....maybe?” she asked herself. It had to be right? Being turned into a girl, being swept off her feet by a the most amazing stranger she had met, dancing among the stars, yes, it had to be. Her eyes opened as she realized her voice was still much higher in tone that her rough boy voice.

Sitting up with a hand on the bed covers against her chest, Ashley found herself in a room she had never seen before lit by the morning sun from the window. Looking down, she found she had no dress on her or anything but the bed covers that hid her body, more confirmation that the night before was not a dream. Looking at the room some more, she saw her orange ballroom dress hung on a coat-hanger by the door. Another coat hanger by a wardrobe hung another familiar set of clothes, the combo of a duelist and a prince.

“Maybe...my prince's hotel room?” she pondered, before getting excited. The Butterfrees in her stomach fluttered as this meant she was going to see her prince again, as well as his full face for the first time. So smitten for her lover, she stared at the door as Ashley heard sounds of someone finishing up in the bath room. She wanted to see her man again so badly, it was so tempting to just get up and surprise him, but she held the temptation in. The doorknob turned, this was it. Her prince was on the other end. Heart was racing once more, the door slowly opening up, her toes curled with excitement.

“Come to me my prince!” her mind pleaded.

The door fully opened. It was him alright, the red hair confirmed it...the person stood stile, looking half awake with their morning face on with a toothbrush in their mouth. Ashley's eyes examined her Dueling Prince with glee, only to realise a few things as she looked. The Prince looking thinner than her memory recalled, they were wearing her large black boy t shirt with a shoulder poking out the neckline of the shirt, their arms so small, held up by long silky legs with no a hint of hair to be found. On top of the slight glimpse of underwear with a familiar grey Pokemon on them, Ashley looked up at the face of her lover again, the cogs in her head finally working as she realised the idenity of her prince.

“ZOEY?!?!?!?!?” Ashley yelled out.

“Oh, had we met before last night?” Zoey for once was the puzzled one of the two.

Another confusing day as a girl for poor Ash Ketchum had just begun.

The End.
