Paths to Adventure Ash 2-1: The Celedon Gym (Patreon)

Ash Ketchum stood before the Celedon Gym with his fist clutched, ready

for what he was about to attempt. Earlier in the day, Ash and his

traveling buddies Misty and Brock stopped by a perfume shop. While Misty

was sampling some of the store's perfume while Brock turned zombie as

he drooled over the female staff as he would do, Ash made...a few rude

remarks about perfume which was enough for the manager to give the young

boy a scalding. Thinking nothing of it, Ash left the store to go find

the Gym on his own. To his dismay, Ash was barred from entering the Gym

as the staff informed the boy that they make the same “stupid smelling

perfume” he had earlier offended, resulting to a large red X being

stamped onto his face.

Feeling down, Ash wondered the streets in

worry. To get into the Pokemon League he had to earn eight Gym Badges,

no more no less, but if he was just shy of one of them, there was no way

he could get into the league now. He felt so stupid for what he said

about the perfume, it was natural for a boy his age to hate girly

perfume especially in his younger days when his mother would drag him to

the perfume section of a department store for what felt like ages while

she looked and tried on perfume, the smell of which he could never

understand, made worse when his mother would Ash him if each one smelt

good on her every time. Even after it was over, there would then be the

move towards the clothing section, force to be bored out his skull while

his mother would look at dresses and sometimes even try them on...

...to which that memory gave Ash an embarrassing yet genius idea!  

As to back to the present, Ash stood nervously wondering if he should go

on with his plan. If this plan worked, he would get his Rainbow Badge

for sure, but if it backfired then Ash would not only be in trouble, he

would be made a huge laughing stock for certain, the type of which he's

die of humiliation from if anyone from Pallet caught wind of this,

especially his rival Gary Oak.

For Ash had disguised himself as a girl.

With a long bright yellow blonde wig with pink bow on top, a large orange

dress to hide as much of his manly body as he could and red ruby shoes

that almost tempted him to click together and mutter “There's no place

like home!” Ash had so far made it this far from the department store to

the Gym with no one giving him weird looks as if he was a crossdressing

boy (Though some boys her age were certainly eyeing him up, making the

poor fake girl blush and walk faster away.). This had to work, if the

department store lady could not tell the difference, then surly a Gym

full of girls could not either, right?

Taking a deep breath in then out, Ash entered the Gym doors into the building...
