(Style Challenge) Taking Espeon for a Walk (Patreon)

Another piece in the Art challenge everybody! Here we have my take on Ken Sugimori style. Most of you are probably familiar with him, even if you don't know the name. He is the main artist that does the official artwork for Pokemon, doing all of the original 151, designing numerous Pokemon, a great deal of the card artwork and still works for them. Technically he has two art styles he does for Pokemon, his original one and his modern one. For this piece, I decided to go attempt the original one, mainly because the newer one is closer to anime in appearance and is more digital looking. Whereas his older stuff was done with water color and had a very recognizeable, hard highlight look that can result in working with watercolor. So here are two characters, an Espeon and Cashew. Cashew design wise is closer to the normal Chespin look but I wanted to keep some of his unique traits intact as well. Hope you guys like it and more to come!
