Can’t wait❤️

tanasia

love the solos on this album so much but lia truly surprised me. same with PD i almost fully expected the main vocalist does a ballad curse for her solo and was pleasantly surprised at being wrong. her song + mr. vampire are my two faves from the album!

Liv

Mr vampire feels like and SM type beat??? Like a dope girl group bside more on f(x) + red velvet side, or maybe im strapped for references and someone can name the genre Mr vampire achieves ?

Liv

I feel like Midzys have been waiting since Ryujin sang Really Really and she became total girl crush for her low tone (on that predebut show,,) plus all the covers she’s done so we knew she could do what she did on Mr vampire but NOW she is unleashed officially

Liv

PD the first thought I had literally for Dynamite was OH SO WE ARE MAKING ASS SHAKING MUSIC NOW OKAYYYYY like this is western artist diva shit I’m obsessed Itzy knows it’s ass shaking music for the club!!! Yuna said work that body and she meant it!!! Itzy said they wanna see us shake and who am I to disagree

Candice Blair

Yeji wrote the song based on ITZY. She even did call back lyrics to Dalla Dalla.

Liv

I kept forgetting that Blossom also was in Korean bc Lia was singing everything in such a pretty western pop style and I think her (figurative) voice really shined through the song

Liv

Ryujin both image and performance wise fit that grungy Pop rock so well and we got a hint of that from bet on me and they carried that over to her MV as well where she has a lot of actor potential to be that gritty indie movie darling (And if ryujin wanted to be the modern Avril Lavigne I wouldn’t complain is a all I’m saying)

Liv

I DIDNT KNOW UNTIL I LISTENED TO MINE!!! HOW MUCH CHAERYEONG EMBODIES THAT JYP VOCAL SOUND WITH SO MUCH BREATH AND EVEN HAS POTENTIAL FOLLOWING SUNMIS ROUTE OF THIS PLAYFUL HYPNOTIC SIREN BEAUTY LET CHAERYEONG GO FULL 80S GLAM FOR A SOLO IM BEGGING

Liv

You know how they say Red Velvets Joy has a voice that’s like a fruit like refreshing tone that’s really unique, I just realized that Yuna is one of the only other prime examples where her voice is like another variation of that fruit voice, her voice is so unique like the example of what you’d want for the highteen K-pop princess !

Liv

I’m so happy we got Escalator bc it finally feels like we get a return of what we got hints of in THEIR 1ST ALBUM with the insanity of Swipe, Gas Me Up, Twenty YEAH LETS BRING THOSE BACK ! TELL ME JYP!!! WE NEVER GOT SOMETHING LIKE SWIPE AGAIN UNTIL NOW ?!!!

Liv

Yeji’s solo is such a powerful message on its on for her identity as and artist but ESPECIALLY as Itzys leader she holds the responsibility of that mantle very well, it hits hard

ITZY means "all in us" as in everything you want? They've got it. They've been showing it for years, but this album really steps forward and proves that they've honed those skills. I also want to talk about Lia's voice a bit. It's popular to refer to her voice as a "honey" voice and it's what really comes through on Blossom. Honey is sweet, sure, but it's also got a flavor that's deep and complex compared to a lot of other sweet things. I hope you enjoy the videos for the solo songs. They didn't do full videos as they were also previews, but each one does a fairly good job of showing how the girls felt. Additionally, never say never on a recording behind for this. We did get a bit for their Kill My Doubt album. And if you're lucky, the now-iconic ITZY "Bye-ee" will not make it into your daily vocabulary like it has mine. 😅

So much I could say about this album. The one thing I’ll comment here is that Blossom is everything I’ve ever wanted from Lia. To be honest, as much as I love her and all of Itzy’s music, JYP has not shown a capability to write with her vocals in mind. Which is insane to me because she is literally the main vocal, but her range and colour are considered the least. She just is not a high singer, and that’s perfectly okay, as range is not the only marker of a good vocalist. She is much more supported, resonant, and emotive in her lower mix and chest voice. And Blossom plays into it soooo perfectly. It is my favourite of the solos so far. Gah I could gush about that song for ages. (Also literally the only qualm I have with this album is whoever wrote “makeup on fleek” in Run Away…………….. really? In 2024? For a Korean artist?)

kobee and holy m might be the best composers for itzy 😭😭 only bangers by them fr

Blossom and Yet, But are definitely my favorite solos. I'm always a sucker for songs that make me feel both happy and strangely emotional, and Lia and Yuna managed to capture that energy perfectly. Blossom has been on repeat since it was released and the lyrics are so beautiful. Yet, But is the best written solo on the album and Yuna absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one (I need her to write the next Kpop gg hit ASAP). She said that she wanted to create a bright and hopeful song that would encourage people, which she did perfectly. The theme of "even in the worst times, eventually you'll see a light at the end of the tunnel" hit a little too close to home for me as someone who recently has been struggling with some personal issues, and I have to thank Yuna for writing this song that has resonated with me in so many ways and this entire itzy comeback which has been such a light in the dark. much love to the girls and to both of you for this amazing album reaction :)

i do hope you guys still react to the solo mvs :3 i really enjoyed the mvs a lot and the think they did a really good job !

ITZY means "To have" in Korean. They say "all in us" and they embody that they have everything, but ITZY doesn't mean "all in us" it simply means to have.

This is not officially a studio album is officially a mini album. When they repackage it and add the original tracks with Lia's vocals and one or two more songs, then it will be officially their 2nd "studio" album. This is officially a mini album. Songs had Lia's parts re-recorded by the other members because she isn't promoting them or going on tour. It was 70-90% done prior to her hiatus.

I would recommend watching the channel "Ain't no other fan" whose reviews vocal techniques and most uses live vocals. He has recently gotten more focused in Kpop and has made some good points with some of the vocalists. Yeji does have so much potential but she definitely still needs a good amount of vocal training.
