JANUARY SCHEDULE: 2024 (Patreon)

YOYOYO Happy New Year!

Hi everyone, and my what a year long journey it's been. For me, it's been a two year long journey ever since I began having a rude awakening. In 2022, thanks to K-Pop: I embraced my confidence, self-worth, and sexiness. In 2023, once again thanks to K-Pop: I came to face my truth and embracing what truly would make me happy.

I have known deep down that making music and living in Korea would make me "happy" but I never believed myself deserving of that happiness and beat my self-worth back down in the process. 

People pleasing, promising too much content, is unfortunately a huge flaw I have. Whereas people want to work less, I created a "job" that is not work for me, but was instead my lifelong passion/hobby growing up.

It's only through over promising, stacking tons and tons of content, I developed a heavy sense of anxiety to a mentally, and physically unhealthy point.

In 2024, I'm emerging from the depths of the shadows I hid into during COVID-19. January 1st, my partner and I moved back to Los Angeles. This is a move we've tried to do unsuccessfully for 1.5 years, purely out of fear and anxiety.

Over the past week, we moved into our temporary housing (we'll be crashing somewhere for about 5-6 months) and then moved into our studio. In fact, we've been crashing at our studio for 3 days now because we've been busy unpacking all our gear, cleaning everything up, then organizing, and finally planning.

I apologize for the schedule coming out a few days later but I did not want a repeat of December. I am in the middle of moving and I did not want to guarantee a schedule without having a full setup up and running--and after a week of tiring physical work--we're ready.

We don't have a real "set" but we are ready to film. We'll have more of a "set" next month, and to be honest my vision for my studio probably won't be fully realized for at least six months due to budgeting, finances, etc.

And now that we're ready to film, I present to you--the 2024 January Schedule!

Going forward, I am only ever setting hard deadlines/content drop times for 4bg/4gg variety content per week, 3 drama per week, and 4 anime per week. That is not ALL I am reacting to, that is the only content I'm ever setting deadlines for. The rest of our content I'm scheduling "per week" and they'll drop whenever I film them/have the time.

The point of doing this and changing things up like this is purely to give me the freedom to move around, but also to be a little more loose and play with my Patreon. For example, it's nowhere on the schedule--but you bet your ass some ATEEZ bonus drops are coming. Not just because the comeback reaction is late, but because it's ATEEZ and I already know I'm gonna wanna do it.

BUT--with the hundreds of tasks everyday, fixing this content, that content, this meeting, that meeting, new comeback, etc. There's just A LOT for us to deal with, so we are no longer committing to "hard" schedules or even announcing certain content in advance.

So the GROUPY tier going forward will get all these K-Pop bonus drops, and the GROUPY FIRST tier will get random variety drops along with random show reactions. These are at my discretion and meant purely to be surprises. The GROUPY tier will get access to these reactions next month.

(For example, I really wanna check out the live action YuYu Hakusho but I don't know when I can get to it, or how many episodes I can commit to. So I'm just gonna film and put it out, whenever, as a surprise for GROUPY FIRST tier. The GROUPY tier patrons will be receiving however many episodes of YuYu Hakusho dropped in January, at a set date in February).

I will be doing a deeper explanation of the tier changes and how I plan to run my reactions going forward. I've been wanting to do it for a few days but I was not able to complete setting up a set until today. 

It's getting late on our end, we've been at it all day trying to get this schedule out to you guys and make sure we can deliver properly not just this month, but continually going forward, while massively expanding our operations. 

We believe we're in a good place now and setting ourselves up for success, and turning these reactions into a completely different and fun type of energy, so we hope you both enjoy the schedule and the videos this month.

QYAMS (Questions You Ask Me Sometimes)

• What's up with this schedule for K-POP this week?

We had some special reactions we had planned for last month but could not do it. We plan to do them this week in the first week. Drama & Anime Club will get their content as usual for "Week 1" but these are just special releases for K-POP: These releases are considered scheduled content and will be available for the K-POP FIRST tier only for this month and will be considered "backlog" next month. 

This means Week 1 K-Pop Variety will begin next week, and so Week 3 will go on an extra week into the end of the month but there will not be a Week 4 of drama & anime club.

• Will you react to award shows?

Yes--but we'll see.

All I can say is this: I will do it, I want to do it, but if I'm being honest, the daunting and huge aspect of these award shows have given me massive anxiety. So I'm clearing a certain section of the month for them, and I can give a more accurate idea of what Award Shows I'm reacting to when that week comes up. Any award shows I can't get to this month, I'll check out in February. But also these award shows are like 3+hrs long and there's a chance I can't do it all this month. Only thing I can promise is to work on my health so that I'm in good condition to do as many as I can, but also within reason, this month.

• Will you react to bonus drops?

Yes--but we'll see. They are not listed because again, time and scheduling is a thing. I could just "prefilm" bonus drops and schedule them all out for next month, but again, that was the old system and it created this expectation of needing to check out everything.

I'm just going to be checking out bonus drops for the groups & comebacks that strike and interest me (for example: ateez, itzy, aespa, etc)! It'll be a surprise for our GROUPY tier when they come out :) This takes a lot of pressure off of me and bring the joy of filming these for you guys as "treats"/"gifts" rather than "work".

• Something that you were going to react to in December isn't listed for January, will you still react to it?

Possibly in February. I listed everything I did in December because I genuinely did have an interest in watching/filming content for said things. However, new content is always releasing some there is a chance that some content may not be pursued again. We'll let you know in February on the status of the rest of those reactions!

• Some of the backlog content doesn't work!

Before we fixed a good chunk of our backlog content through a service called "Bunny" until Bunny started having issues and would no longer embed or play videos. Since then Patreon introduced their own video hosting capabilities which has been working great for us. We will begin reuploading content in bulk starting this week. We have set everything up to do so here in our studio. We'll most likely post a list of everything we have and update the progress of fixes through a spread sheet that we'll share with you all.
