I love the sudden “macOS/FaceTime new features” coming ups out of nowhere! (As in the beginning of this video) Before I saw it in one anime club in the form of floating bubbles with likes 😅

Diem Doan

42:18 PD’s face at “mtfk money” had me cracking 🤣🤣

Hans Olav

It's an incredible concert, Rosie really has leveled up. All of them, really. (They did pretty savage. Its the one where everyone screamed at Jisoo's part)

I have no idea why some people actually believe that BP is going to disband, like even if they wanted to move to another company or do some solo stuff they can still be a part of blackpink because that’s actually how most of their career went so it’s not going to affect them at all. They are one of the really few groups who were able to success “originally” as a group and as solo artists and were able to make their own individual name in the industry which makes them untouchable. I’m also really excited for Jennie solo album cause she’s been hinting for a while and currently she is finally a variety show with Yu jae suk that’s going to be released early next year so I’m guessing we will be getting the album on January-March (fingers crossed🤞)

Ena

they better not disband 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Ena

I'm basically 90% sure they'll renew but the possibility is just so heartbreaking because they're really THAT group. Everyone knows bts, yeah. But everyone vibes with blackpink. idk it's just so unique the pull they have on the world

57:57 - the fact that PD didn’t stand up to input his headset, but was moving with the chair as fast as it was possible 😹😹

WiseSmellyLegs

Playing With Fire was their first comeback, which happened in the autumn of 2016 (just a small correction, because PD said: “a year after their debut”, but it was like within a few months (since they debuted in August 2016).

WiseSmellyLegs

I don’t know why, but when they say their goodbye in Korean, it always hits me and brings tears to my eyes. Like yeah… the whole show is ending and obviously I feel so proud of them and that makes me emotional. But when the Korean farewell comes, I’m just like: “Man… I can’t hold it anymore”

Tae Yang

They actually did pretty savage at the beginning, it’s the choreo with the chairs

WiseSmellyLegs

14:55 - Pretty Savage (the time is for this video) The setlist is the same, but the outfits and the LED show behind them change a lot

qdebu

Every time they introduce themselves in Korean or in the end I started crying

Regarding PD’s statement of “Everything across Kpop history led to this moment” I realized one (similar) thing during this performance. But first let’s talk about PD’s thing. When we think about the whole history of Kpop and how it was created (I’ll make it as simple as possible, so I will skip details here and there). With Seo Taiji and Boys the whole music scene of Korea changed top to bottom, which led to the creation of Kpop with H.O.T and more and more. But important thing! Yang Hyun Suk was part of Seo Taiji and Boys and actually although Seo Taiji was the main producer of the group, Yang Hyun Suk was the one, who came up with the idea to create that group. And there is even a shot from one old music show, where Seo Taiji says: “Korean music needs to global… we need your (fan’s) help” and after their break up of the group, Kpop started, which led to this global scale phenomenon, which didn’t only popularize Korean music scene in general or just Kpop itself, but Korea as a country, its language, its cuisine and etc. So I am trying to say that the fact that Yang Hyun Suk came up with the idea of creating that group (initially Seo Taiji came to Yang Hyun Suk to ask him for some dance advice and Yang Hyun Suk had a better idea… this idea), made this whole thing be able to start and to led to this moment of Korea being so known and Kpop reaching to the level (as PD is saying), where BLACKPINK are performing at Coachella and changing the point of view toward Asian women. And now the similar thing, which I realized during watching this. Yang Hyun Suk was the member of Seo Taiji and Boys and then created YG Entertainment, which later debuted BIGBANG, which shaped Kpop and its future acts a lot and they were the roots of what started to happen later on that idols could be considered artists as well. And as PD mentioned as well, 2NE1 were those ones, who shaped the way for BLACKPINK and not only for BLACKPINK but this whole girl crush concept hype of the 4th generation and the whole seeing female idols in a different perspective comes back to 2NE1, which is again a YG group. (Mind you… I am fully aware of another important acts of Kpop history, I just really love to go deep in the history of Kpop, so I could be sitting here and writing for many hours, but I want to keep this comment simple). And here is the thing I have realized. BLACKPINK has the foundation of 2NE1, but the attitude/treatment of the group is like BIGBANG’s. During their debut many people were saying they are just a copy of 2NE1 and well, looking at it backwards from now, I have to admit that it is really obvious Teddy wanted to have his own group for The Black Label, but since YG was done with 2NE1 they took it from Teddy to have their girl group after 2NE1 😅😅. But they are not totally the same and although we can see the same/similar foundation, which Teddy put into the group, he didn’t want to have the group to be fully the same. And here comes the BIGBANG part in them. Although many people could say Jennie is “the CL of the group”, they cannot say the same about the whole group, because 2NE1 was really CL focused when it came to rap lines, but with BLACKPINK it is more like with BIGBANG, where there were G-Dragon and T.O.P and obviously Lisa isn’t like T.O.P because their dancing skills are not even slightly similar 😅😅, so I don’t want to get into the thoughts of: “This BLACKPINK member is like a child of these two”, so I made it simple with the statement of BLACKPINK having the BIGBANG’s treatment by the label that there are two rappers and the position are not the same as their foundation (2NE1), but also the way YG was thinking about BLACKPINK after they decided to debut them and focus on them after 2NE1 was over for them. They decided to have BLACKPINK as their BIGBANG when it comes to the global scale/reach. PD talked about this in a Treasure video. He mentioned they are doing the global reach with them (Treasure) which they have never done with BIGBANG, although BIGBANG could have done it, but didn’t want to do it (didn’t have the need). But obviously before Tresure there was BLACKPINK from which Treasure benefit a lot as their younger brothers of the label. The goal I am trying to reach with my words here is, BLACKPINK is the perfect combination of two really important groups for the Kpop history and beside that all three groups are connected by a label, which was created by someone, who came up with the idea of creating a group, which set the whole future for Korea and its glory of these times. So not just as PD said: “everything across the Kpop history led to this moment”, but it also somehow feels like it was destined and predicted/hoped by Seo Taiji

WiseSmellyLegs

About their disbanding… Well, officially… no. Just for the simple reason of YG not wanting their stocks to drop (the same as they announced with BIGBANG that they are still a group). But even beside the stock market. I feel like these days groups don’t disband anymore and although many members are under various labels, “they are still a group”, but it works just with a few cases that they promote and comeback the same way they used to. Could be BLACKPINK one of those a few cases? Definitely, they don’t come back that often, so it won’t be a big change and also just for the sake of them being BLACKPINK, it will be possible. But! Although I can imagine them releasing something new, I am not sure about world tours, big plans like this one and etc. I mean, it is hard to plan a year long schedule for 4 people, who are under different labels. And why am I saying all of this as if they didn’t renew? Well… based on the facts that various companies tried to reach YG for the plans after Born Pink tour, but YG couldn’t answer properly (because they couldn’t make plans for them for the time of not being under them anymore), I assume YG has to know by now, since the tour is over. And if they renewed already, why wouldn’t they tell us? I feel like they will be silence about it the same way as they didn’t say anything about G-Dragon not renewing until now… And also it is worth mentioning YG said that the agreement with Rosé was already done, but they are still in the discussion with the other 3 members. And when it comes to the 3 of them… Jennie and JiSoo are rumoured to start their own companies and Lisa has been reached by many labels with astronomical deals by Chinese ones US ones. A year ago I thought they would transfer to The Black Label, because Teddy bought its biggest share from YG, so they are not a subsidiary anymore but an associate company and with BLACKPINK “re-joining” The Black Label (I think they were originally ment to debut under The Black Label), they could have grown on their own as a label without being connected to YG that much and BLACKPINK would have continued without any changes. And mind you… there were rumours it might have actually happened and also there were leaks of plans and trademarks of Jennie’s new album, which was credited only to The Black Label and also there were rumours of their new mini album for the end of this year (most likely also under The Black Label). So although I might have been close to the truth at first, things could have changed during the past year. I mean both from the perspective of world-wide labels, but from the perspective of BLACKPINK members as well. I mean, during the past year they have grown so much. Like yeah… The Black Label is not big, not like YG at all, but in Korea people are aware of Teddy and he has his connections around the scene there as well (as YG has), but BLACKPINK out grew basically anything possible right now, so although BLINKs are aware of Teddy, so the transfer wouldn’t be out of nowhere, but I am starting to think they are too big now for probably even YG if other labels from the world were able to offer Lisa more 😅😅 So… as much as it breaks my heart (as someone who was waiting for this group to debut from my early Kpop years and damn I was hyped up, since I am a huge V.I.P and BlackJack), I have to admit I am preparing myself for the truth of this year being the big glory of BLACKPINK for at least a while. Like I said, they might release something new, have concerts in Korea or somewhere else like a one time thing. But it won’t be that big as this year full of encore stops for their tour, special stages like Coachella and the Gala night in Paris, obviously promotions and content from all of these things

Not sure if it’s all him (pretty sure tho), but the dancers + direction I think are a Kiel Tuthin special—he’s a choreographer BP uses a lot and I saw him in the performance and it has his style written all over it;; Kiel is one of the GOATs of K-pop choreo (among other artists) especially among girl groups, we’re talking aespa, Sunmi, Twice, CL, ITZY etc::: Kiel Tutin choreo vid w Lisa : https://youtu.be/pBOU8eKYnEM?si=CB3Itf6fY82gCriT Bloodline Cover with Twice Momo, Tzuyu and Chaeyoung https://youtu.be/bLbKhXfxuD0?si=WdeJYe125JNG4r0q TWICE Medley w/ Momo Chaeyoung and Tzuyu https://youtu.be/pK78DiqQ74I?si=v9z4jQtJTV3gWBQI

I was there for this week!! I had so much fun, I cried several times throughout the show 😭 it was a bitch to get out of that crowd (over an hour just to get to the exit) but it was all worth it

Lisa looked at me during Kick It, I was front row and I almost passed away 😭

Words cannot fully capture the remarkable success of these girls. They've transcended the typical K-pop girl group status and become the biggest girl group worldwide. Their record-breaking achievements even surpass iconic girl groups from the past. As a chronically online follower of Blackpink, it's refreshing to see a perspective from a casual fan. Jisoo's growth as a performer is evident, and her interview with Rolling Stone, where she discussed her stage anxiety, left me feeling proud. During their "Lovesick Girl" performance, her openness and unscripted authenticity stood out. Her interest in acting is also promising, and I'm eagerly waiting her rumored participation in a new series. Among the four members, Jisoo's enigmatic aura and unique vocal tone is one of my favorite so I hope she also gets to release more solo songs. Jennie, despite potentially having lower stamina compared to the others, has a captivating charisma. YG likely designated her as the face of the group during their debut for a reason. Her "it girl" status, especially in South Korea, is undeniable. Watching her perform, I appreciate her happiness on stage and her gummy smile. The baseless criticism labeling her as "lazy" is tiresome and very unfair to her. But I love how that did not affect her. Her elegance and chic presence makes her very entertaining to watch. Rose is undoubtedly the most well-rounded member, excelling in both dancing and singing. There's this running joke in blink twitter where they mention how rose's hair is the fifth member of blackpink. And would like to also point out how she feels different in week 2, it most probably because of this dating rumor she had with actor Kang Don Won where pictures of them in a restaurant circulate in the internet. It a huge news that even YG (who mind you barely comments on stuffs like this) released a statement denying the rumors. So she really went off this week. I also love how you guys stated how much of a popstar she is and could be in par with the likes of taylor swift, which made so much sense why i love her solo the most because I am also an avid taylor swift fan and she could be someone like that in the future. Lisa, is the group's ace and a wild card in the best possible way. Her versatility shines in various aspects, be it fashion, stage presence, or the concepts they explore. Her consistency and dedication to delivering exceptional performances, whether or not the camera focuses on her, continually surprise me. I don't know if this makes sense but if Rose is a popstar then Lisa is a Superstar. That Money dance break reminds me of beyonce's coachella performance and despite seeing it multiple times it never fail to give me goosebumps. This girl is so versatile and it shocked me when after the finale concert in seoul she was announced as a performer for crazy horse (a famous cabaret show in Paris) for 3 nights in a row! I don't how she fit that in her schedule with touring, this coachella gig, and they even have this BST Hyde Park festival that they did. You can really tell how much of a performer she is. Their Coachella set was amazing, leaving the audience breathless with each performance. I attended their Thailand Born Pink concert, and the energy and loud music made it feel like a two-hour club experience. The girls' connection with the crowd was unparalleled, making any initial disappointment about the concert's duration fade away once it began. It was simply mind-blowing. And oh the one you mentioned where week 1 and week 2 felt like it was different. Nothing actually change aside from the LED being on the right time and beat and that the camera work for week 2 was a huge change from week 1. As for disbandment rumors, they don't seem like a viable option for Blackpink, given their incredible popularity and synergy. Their individual star power complements their group dynamic perfectly. YG's approach, not catering to fans like other groups and avoiding parasocial relationships, is something I would forever be thankful because this is a much more healthy set-up for them. Access to the girls mainly comes through their music, social media posts, and concerts, making it a unique fan experience that sets them apart from the rest. Anyways I'm a blabbering mess now, just want to add that closing Coachella with "Forever Young" was a brilliant decision, solely for that part where it says "Blackpink is the Revolution" because they truly are. Their introductions and thank-yous in Korean at the end of their performances always gives me goosbumps. Now that blackpink is on a hiatus, and it may take long before the next comeback. I hope you will consider watching Blackpink Bornpink Memories. It's a 10-15 minutes behind the scene content of their gigs and concerts AND OH BTW! I love how Blaire is now slowly joining in some variety and live stage reactions. I don't know but I love her presence even though she just sits there and laugh or smile. Is this just a girl thing? But I truly feel even more comfortable that Blaire joined in ❤️

Can you do seventeen concert?

winterkrash

I recommend watching the Born Pink Tour Seoul Encore (the second day—the very last show). They changed a lot from their regular tour and the Coachella performances. It is like watching a new concert.

I got confused when you said they didn’t perform pretty savage … cause they did at the 14:55 mark of this video 😂😭

Jamie

Not sure if you guys will watch all of BPM roll but if you want a behind the scenes look for coachella BPM Roll #23 and #24 would be cool to check out

Blaire 🌻

I thought we saw it for sure but we couldn't find it when we were scrubbing the video for it afterwards LOL -B

I'm thinking about your statement, why would YG bother with doing all of this if BLACKPINK wouldn't be about to resign? Maybe they (YG) were trying to show them that they are glad to have them and support them in the future. Basically trying to change their minds in case they were already thinking of not resigning. Or simply get more money of BLACKPINK before they leave. It definitely boosted the interest in the group of many new fans. Which may have ended up in buying tickets for the other stops during their Born Pink Tour, buying albums and merch as well...

Dina Abusaleh

Can I ask why I cant see all blackpink content? There was the reaction to the album and born pink and even their variety but I can’t find anything

Dunia

Same i was trying but it didn’t work for me either
