i hope you can react to their predebut show riize and realize, it's soooooo good, you can see how they prepare for their debut, the recordings, the choreography learning and all, you can also get to know their personalities a little better, i love them. also you HAVE to check their comeback Talk Saxy i loved it so much and you can see more of Anton of course, such a great song.

Their comeback "Talk Saxy" is insaneeee. Anton (the guy in the blue) gets proper lines but also Eunseok (the guy with the brown hair whose voice you really likes) gets amazing lines too. And don't get me started on that bridge!!! It's an SM bridge for sure, just perfection.

I loooove Anton's voice (the maknae) so much and he actually has lines in their newest release 'Talk Saxy' (I hope you'll react to it !). Also, ever since they dropped their pictures before their debut I knew that Anton reminded me of someone, like in some pictures he kinda reminds me of Taemin ? It might be the bowlcut though

Interesting you mentioned NewJeans and them sounding like a one person. I feel like I talked about this in one comment already, but at the same time I talked about this with someone else under some video (not of Form of Therapy), so I’ll just make it shorter. Not just the way they sound, but the concept, the way they are presented (in the latest Talk Saxy I realized that even more), they really have the 1st generation aspect in them as NewJeans do as well! I feel like NewJeans brought this thing to Kpop and with them it started to be a thing more and more (that even one of the Big 3’s group (Riize) is made in that way - obviously Hybe Corporation has out grown the whole Big 3 and Kpop itself, so it is no wonder NewJeans were able to play a role this big, but Big 3 has always set the way for each generation/big moments in Kpop, so that’s why I am mentioning it). I personally call this “NewJeans concept” the 4.5 generation style/vibe, which has been showing us what the upcoming 5th generation will be like because always the end of one generation is different from its start and it’s similar to the start of the new one. (I know there are people saying that the 5th one already started, but I don’t want to spam with this topic/big discussion here - Simply, I mark NewJeans/the creation of HYBE (2021-2022 as the start of the 4.5 generation, similar to BoA’s debut being the significant moment for the 1st generation and changing it to the 1.5 generation). Now I remember! Yeah, I mention it under a post of Treasure, where I was thinking out loud about Kpop being cyclical and getting to it’s beginnings (since the 5th generation will be like the 1st generation), but with the big difference that the 5th one will be on the global scale. And yeah! From this perspective I kind of like groups like Riize and I am curious to see what comes next. But on the other hand I don’t listen to this kind of Kpop that much. Even from the first generation I prefer more the techno sound and the Korean 90s-like rap style rather than this “linear sound and formation of the group based on their similar vocal tone and range”. For the end… your comparison to NCT Dream. I feel like after the big success of NCT in 2020 and then the following up huge success of NCT Dream early in 2021, SM realized they would like their new boy group to be like NCT Dream, because although NCT Dream is 3rd generation group, they felt like a 4th generation for many people, who were not following them from the early years. And although they initially had announced a new boy group for 2020, they started to postpone it more and more, because of the success of NCT and they also wanted to let NCT Dream grow, but couldn’t just say: “Well, let’s redebut the whole NCT Dream as a new group” 😅😅 So after leaving a time there, they decided to make the new group with the “blueprint” of NCT Dream, but with the big difference of adjusting the blueprint for the 4.5 generation style. As JaeHyuk says, he can hear their different voices, because of being Korean. But to Blaire they sonically sound similar to each other. I feel like if they debuted earlier, before NewJeans and this 4.5 gen. wave, they would have been even more like NCT Dream, because SM would not have focused on the aspect of keeping them sound like a one person (as it is with NewJeans). Basically they are like NCT Dream in many ways and NCT Dream is like them as well. If NCT Dream debuted in these days, you would have been able to hear their tone is not the same (as you can tell about them now), but based on the way SM would have trained them and would have had the vision of this 4.5 gen. style for them, they would have seemed like a one person as well. Sorry for explaining it so complicated. The thing I am trying to say both groups are like a coin, but different side of the coin, which reflects the part of generation/Kpop they debuted in and the mindset SM had for them in the moment of their debut. (And I was thinking I will make it short this time… 😅)

To me Anton's (the maknae) voice reminds me of 2 specific idols, like in lower register (more warmer range) his voice reminds NCT Jaehyun's voice, and for higher register (some falsetto and high note runs) it's like Bigbang Taeyang's voice

sohee, that guy in a white shirt hitting the high notes. You're actually right about him trying to hold his voice on hitting a much higher note. On pre-debut videos of him singing, depending on the type of the song, he can definitely sing in much deeper higher notes. His voice is quite unique. It's fresh and powerful at the same time. I hope you react on Talk Saxy soon. They were all singing there + the dance is crazy.

Another thing, they have this documentary called Rise&Realize. So far it's episode 9 already. (it's not too long, ranging to 20-30 minutes per ep) It's all about their preparation before their debut. They also show how they record their songs and practice their performances.

Btw, just to share, Anton was born in US and grew up in New Jersey. He's fluent in English. He was a professional swimmer before he auditioned to be an idol. Also, son of a famous producer in Korea. He has a talent in composing and producing music too! I bet he's gonna surprise us with more of his talent in the future ❤️ He's also such a nice kid, very soft spoken too. ☺️

The two youngest members are 19, almost 20. I would assume they are done puberty, but that doesn’t mean their voices couldn’t change in the next couple of years.
