It’s funny you mention Matthew would be good in a commercial. During Jiwoong’s bubble live a few days ago they were role playing as a radio host and Matthew was doing impromptu commercial breaks for comedic effect.

to me matthew gives such fake maknae vibes and i think that sentiment is felt within the members as well. Even Yujin thinks of him as the cutest member. He can get away with so much imo because the members look at him with a specific fondness that i usually see with maknaes of groups. My favorite dynamic is him with the maknae line simply bc if you didn’t know the group you’d 100% think he was apart of that line

29:01 to answer your question about whether or not the korean general public loves him like we do, matthew is the 5th most searched rookie idol in 2023 so far on youtube south korea (#1 is hanbin, #3 is zhanghao) so i'd say he is pretty popular just based off of that hahaha.
