TWICELIGHTS is still sitting with me.

That concert, hell, the group themselves in that one performance gave me such inspiration and drive, and yet somehow help me find myself and organize my thoughts.

And then later that same day my brain just started… Going. And I can proudly and happily say that I’ve finished 4 story treatments and finished two complete outlines for two stories. I hit a level of creativity I haven’t felt since before COVID.

A story treatment is basically having a good general idea of the story’s main plot, driving themes and concept. The OUTLINE is basically plotting out the specific character arc every character goes through or the arc of the story and how each episode will BREAK DOWN.

Here’s an example/peek:

(Story) Episode 7 - Whispers of the <spoiler></spoiler>

• Gloria and Jin’s powers continue to grow, as do their suspicions about the Tear of Fate.
• They encounter an ancient artifact with links to the origins of their powers.
• Jin reveals his long-standing goal to establish the School of Thought “BRAVE.”
• Jin, Gloria, Cassie, Gray, and Mira continue their journey, united in questioning their respective Schools of Thought.
• The philosophical clashes of different Schools of Thought are explored.

(Character Arc for Jin) Episode 7 - “The Return Home”

• Inner Struggles: Jin’s internal struggle intensifies as his morally complex past and present collide, challenging his allegiances and testing his resolve to change the world with “BRAVE.”
• Moral Lessons: Gloria and her allies grapple with the ethical lessons Jin has instilled in them, questioning the true nature of power and its uses.

(Character Arc for Jin) Episode 8 - The Ultimate Challenge

• Revelation and Betrayal: A revelation about Jin’s ultimate plan is unveiled, and it involves morally questionable decisions that shock and divide the team.
• Moral Standoff: A showdown between Jin and Gloria highlights their moral differences, leaving the audience to question which path is right.

Incorporating moral complexity into Jin’s character is a central theme, as he navigates the ethical challenges of his actions while working toward his vision of “BRAVE.” His decisions throughout the season will leave the audience questioning his true intentions and allegiances.

So that’s an outline. I finished the entire outline for a 10 episode count of my first attempt at a K-Drama called I ONLY LOVE IN THE SUMMER and I also finished the Season 1 outline for my dream project titled BRAVE, which is what the example above is from.

I have two outlines, one outline covers the main story beats I have to hit per episode, and the other outline is the beats I have to hit per episode for that particular character.

All that’s left? Writing it. Then prepping it. And shooting it.

I’ll probably work on a few more outlines before I commit to a specific script but I just wanted to share with y’all this update because this is a huge leap forward for me.
