2023-10-01 08:31:52 The week 2 is more less the same. One may say they were more confident during the second week, but to me it was pretty much the same from this point of view. There was a bigger break at some points. Like all of them hugged after one performance, because they wanted to keep that moment in their memories. Regarding another content to react to. Well, they had PHENOMENAL performance at Le Gala Des Pièces Jaunes (in France), where they performed with Pink Venom and Shut Down with live orchestra!! There is a video containing both performances and violinist's "solo intro" to Shut Down: https://youtu.be/9eNxPqGYyfo Besides that... they had their final stage for their Born Pink tour. The second day was provided as online concert as well. I am not sure whether you can buy the ticket now to watch it the way we should, but someone uploaded it on YouTube and it is not blocked...: https://youtu.be/3sJKxKHsfoQ And then... I don't know... you mentioned you had checked out their Coachella 2019 performance, but maybe it would be nice to refresh your memory and compare it with this year's performance? Or maybe Blaire has not seen it yet, so her reaction could be the first. In case, here it is: https://www.mediafire.com/file/z3zsly74g2xe2df/BLACKPINK_-_2019_Coachella_Valley_Music_%2526_Arts_Festival_-_Day_1%25262.mp4/file

Edit: I made my statement mainly from the point of view of the setlist being the same. I didn’t really remember the camera work was so off, because I didn’t go to sleep that day (it started early in the morning for me) to make sure I will record it without any problem, so based on that I didn’t remember this properly, my bad. They corrected the camera work and even some mic problems for weekend 2, it was also wholesome they talked more and everything, you should watch it, they actually performed the same setlist with an additional encore for their tour after Coachella, I mean this is already tiring and they added extra encore , I was kinda speechless.I attended MetLife concert it was super fun. What I really love about BP performances is that they don't bend to perfection, loved the reaction as always

camarawork on week two is much better

FINALLYYYY!! Thank you PD and Blaire! 💕 and YES TO WEEK 2! You will see how different their auras there, like they know this is their last show in Coachella this year so more confidence, more songs(encore) and much much better camera work. Im so so so glad that you'll react to that as well. Definitely worth it. Can't wait!! 🥰🖤💗

18:32 - That’s Kick It, it’s from their Kill This Love mini album. One of my the most favorite b-sides of theirs 🙏🏽🙏🏽

You get to see a lot of Coachella stuff if you check out BPM, preparations and them being excited! This set was just incredible, I got to see it on BST and you were right, I cried at Lovesick Girls

WiseSmellyLegs

Wait… you two, you didn’t know about Jennie’s unreleased song You & Me? And this remix version is your first time hearing that?? Fvck. You are so lucky!! It is one of the songs, which were considered to be released for her solo debut back then. She decided to perform with it during Born Pink tour as a surprise. At first I didn’t know how to feel about the song, because I got to hear it only through fan cams. But after seeing it live, it started to grow on me and then after watching this remix version I completely fell for the song!

juju dess

I'm so glad that you reacted to the entire set!! Weekend 2 is exactlly the same set but overall weekend 2 is better than weekend 1 because the girls were less stressed and their stage presence/energy is better and also the camera work is much much better for weekend 2.

Heidy

Aaaah so excited for this and yes would loved to see more BP reaction >< Thankyou Blaire and PD! My favorite moments in week 1: 1. Lisa’s stage presence in Money remix was incredible. Her charisma captivating the audience. When she sang the line "motherfking money," im ded 2. Jisoo’s vocals in Lovesick Girls was CRAZYY. How can she sang like that after 1 hour of dancing?! She shined in that song. 3. Jennie’s rap in Shut Down and Lovesick girls were impressive! It showcase her ability to deliver rapid-fire lyrics. Tbh, she raps like there’s no tomorrow. And don’t forget about the iconic “Lemme hear you fking scream” before How you like that. 4. Rose’s VOCALS in Typa girl and Tally were insaneeee. To be fair, her vocals throughout Blackpink's Coachella performances were incredibly stable and her ability to hit high notes with precision and maintain control throughout her performances is truly impressive.

I love that blackpink have a live band!! If I'm not mistaken that band have been working with blackpink for years too, I wish more kpop acts would use them

Gloria

Pd, I just messaged you. I was wrongly charged on my card 2 different times. Check your messages please. I would like to continue paying but I was charged two many times

After seeing BlackPink LIVE in JUNE in LONDON. Forever Young was SUCH an emotional way to end the show and then the ending dance break part happens and brings that last bit of hype and energy… your literally dancing, screaming and crying your eyes out at the end… it was a once in a life time experience I’m forever GREATFUL to have made… Rewatching this… it makes me get even more emotional as when the girls said “goodbye”. It reminded me of when I saw them live and with them most likely not resigning with YG and splitting apart… it was the first and last time I will see BlackPink together… so that goodbye now holds massive meaning to me.

Camerawork definitely improved on Week 2. They also changed some of the stuff. You’re right that there will also be a shift in energy. I recommend you watch it. The impressive thing is they did this in the middle of their Born Pink World Tour. Imagine preparing for this while being on a tour. YG actually rented MGM for their rehearsals. I have watched one of their World Tour concerts (coincidentally the one before this, in Manila) and this is a different set and choreography and arrangements. So imagine just mentally and physically preparing for two different shows almost at the same time. After the Coachella performances, they adopted this set to their encore shows. But there are still changes along the way. Even their Born Pink Seoul finale weeks ago is a bit different. I think what sets them apart from other groups is the way their perform and command the stage. They have a way of engaging with their audience, so it is a give-and-take energy. While it is nice to see intricate choreographies and formations, I want to be engaged. That is where Blackpink rules. In their concerts, I am not just an audience watching their concert; they make me feel that I am a part of their concert. Fun fact: You were discussing how Rosé’s solo stage and the backdrops and all, how it complimented everything she’s doing in the performance—she conceptualized the whole thing. The backdrop, the transitions, it was all her idea.

It's interesting you noticed how happy Jennie looks while singing as well as how much she actually does it in songs because in a recent podcast she said that she's always felt more comfortable and passionate about singing than rapping and she used to really dislike being the rapper but had to because that was the role blackpink needed her to take. Anyway, I'm looking forward to week 2!

They’re insane. Especially toward the end of the show, Rosé ’s vocal is no joke. I fell in love with her voice once again. By the way, PD nim and Blair, will you go to Treasure’s concert this year ?

Veera

It’s the YG band that worked with Bigbang before BP too!

butter croissant

From what I heard, the Coachella livestream on weekend two was a lot more smooth

I’d recommend checking out their BPM roll series of the whole born pink era/tour but whoever chose the added English pink subtitles made possibly the worst mistake of their life. It’s so hard to read those pink captions and there aren’t any other captions available 😭

Sascha

Oh I loved this reaction! My Blink heart got so emotional rewatching this with you guys. Everyone involved did fantastic! Btw it's hilarious how both of you just scratched Kick It from your memory bc I'm 99,9% sure PD reacted to it on the Kill This Love album listening party but I understand it's been some time 😅 Oh and also, the band here is Blackpink/YG's regular tour band. They've been with BP for both their world tours & also with Big Bang previously

fien

I need Rosé featured on Taylor Swift her next album!! Or Taylor Swift on Rosé's next solo album!! Their vibes and voices would fit so well together

fien

Blackpink repeating 'Kick It' 200x times PD: What song is this??? 😂 Also when Kick it got first released, I did not like it, which is too bad because they had like 15 songs back then lol but then I saw them perform it live and then I got it. This song was made to perform on stage. I love this song now
