I agree with you about something is missing with Everglow. I don't know a lot about Yuehua, but the general agreement amongst fans is that Yuehua are fumbling them. Looking at how they handled Uniq, and recently, Yena, has me worried about Everglow, but also for the Zerobaseone Yuahua trainees, Zhang Hao, Ricky, Gyuvin and Yujin, and how Yuehua will use them after. That being said: Everglow has SO MUCH potential, especially when it comes to creating a brand in the west. They're actually one of the first groups I introduced to my mom and she ended up loving lol

For me I thought FIRST was also ambitious, and they pulled that off well. the lack of quality of SLAY's MV is so unfortunate, especially when compared to something like FIRST or LADIDA ; its so sad just how much wasted potential there is for Everglow...mostly cause of Yuehua's poor management of them. They really could have been big, but 4 years later and still no full album or even a lightstick...that all being said, i'm looking forward to seeing them live during their upcoming tour!!
