Oh yeah, that 6MIX lore is wild. I was following that predebut info back in the day. It was rumored way back even before Got7’s debut because JYP had trademarked GOT7, 6MIX and 5LIVE. 5LIVE went on to become DAY6. 6MIX’s original line up was Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo (who went by Jisoo at the time, Cecelia (Chinese-Australian who is now an actress in China), Minyoung (was a contestant on SIXTEEN and missed making it into TWICE) and Lena (the rapper from Sunmi’s Full Moon). At a certain point, Cecelia left JYP and Sana was added to the lineup (being pulled from the Japan team) and then Lena left, which resulted in the group disbanding and then the start of SIXTEEN which led to the formation of TWICE. They talk about how it felt a bit on the survival show too.

Ohh this was so good, Jihyo did amazing! I just love how charismatic she is and so hard working!! This year she had her 18th anniversary and not once has she been catched slacking off during all this time, she always gives her 200% percent

The notorious "fat shaming" video Blaire was speaking off was from a "Sixteen" episode where that one photographer really digged in on Jihyo's weight almost not making her debut with Twice. JYPapi stood by Jihyo all the way and we loved him for that~
