Max Changmin, D.O. and Winter were all trained by the same vocal trainer and are known as SM's Director, singer-songwriter producer Yoo Youngjin's Sons and Daughter who were born with his voice.

I recently saw them in concert in LA and now have a newfound love for them. If you want to check out some stages for their tour I 1000% recommend aenergy, Yeppi Yeppi, and their 4 solo stages. They picked perfect songs that suit their personalities very well

I think what really sets Winter apart, and many of the other vocalists in SM, is her sense of control; she is in completely aware of her register switches, the dynamics, and the artistic choices being made, which in turn makes whatever she sings so much more expressive and engaging for the listener. As a trained singer, I can vouch for how hard it is to teach these elements; there needs to be a physical and mental balance, and it's hard to achieve. Winter does it so beautifully!

The point about the volume/power changes is what really stuck with me! Her voice is thin and suits ballads so much, but at the same time, she can project her voice superrrr loud (which is what we normally see in aespa’s songs). And like y’all mentioned, her unique style of singing is with a more closed throat, so when she projects louder, it becomes a bit nasally (which I’ve seen a bunch of people hate on her for that, but I personally love it; it sounds super piercing, like she could break glass, and suits aespa’s unique sound so well! (also, for giselle and ningning: ningning recently did a duet w/ jay park for a chinese show called WYA, and giselle’s SYNK vid on youtube shows off her rapping and lyricism!)
