Jae Yi being left out “for her own good” really grinds my gears like I understand why people are prone to do it to protect others but just subjectively not a fan of that dynamic albeit at least Sangpil is doing lies of omission and doing it the best way in this situation

I mean I see the whole thing about Sangpil not telling her about her mom and the rationalization about why he couldnt break the promise not to tell, but in my mind even with all the mental gymnastics he performed to not do it in a bad way, I honestly think that what he did is still extremely fucked up and inexcusable in my mind. Even if he explains everything later, Jaeyi should never trust him again. There are only 2 ways he could do it that were acceptable and both require him to tell Jaeyi her mom is alive either by not promising to her mom or breaking the promise because her mom is obviously not emotionally in a place where she can make the best decisions and Sangpil should be, especially since they made him out to be this big picture planner I dont see how he couldn't see that even if her mom would be mad at him for not respecting her wish, Jaeyi would never forgive him and would also probably not stop going after the judge so that would acomplish nothing in the long run.
