The IDLE 4 cut episode made me cry laughing 🤣 I highly recommend!

I saw a clip of Shuhua’s answer at the end there and couldn’t believe it was real. I had to go watch the full video to make sure it wasn’t an edit. Truly no filter.

I hope people would recommend more (g)i-dle stuff, they're so funny ! If I can recommend something to watch from them, it would be their interview with heechul

The want OUT. Idle and ITZY have been the most vocal groups about wanting to leave when their contract is done. Will be very interesting to see. I HAVE a weird feeling when IDLE leaves, and either re-signs elsewhere or makes their own company, that Soojin will come back. In the WEIRDEST and most delusional way. And ITZY all wanna leave JYPE together and resign elsewhere too. They’ve shaded and thrown hints that the company is fucking them over. Which makes sense. I feel like JYPE really got confused about ITZY’s identity after Wannabe frankly. The ITz albums felt planned out and worked. But after that… it seems JYPE doesn’t know what the fuck they wanna do with them and just keep giving them experimental concepts and music (not too far off to loose itzy music) and seeing what hits again. The girls even said she want their old concept and style back. + Yeji even spoke up about her feeling that ITZY is loosing their identity as a whole.

I've seen that clip of shuhua saying they have only 2 years left before and i laughed so much and now watching the full episode it was even funnier, as an IDLE fan i know they showed dislike to cube before many times so it was already on the back of my mind that they would leave when they had a chance to but now seeing they vocalize it damn lmao that just made me even more sure that they will be out when the contract expires and it's so funny to me how they're not afraid to roast cube because they're doing the most money to them right now, also yeah yuqi just doesn't care where she is she will always be like that her and shuhua lol i hope we can have more IDLE content in the future as well like them in Heechul's show street drunk fighter was SO funny

Jessy

Yeah there is a few clips on other shows/variety content of them throwing shade at Cube. It definitely feels safe saying that they will not renew their contract with them.

I wanted to give a different take than the others here. (G)I-DLE is my ult group and I'm sure there is some truth to what they're saying, it's CUBE after all. But I still think being able to make such jokes like that can also be a sign of appreciation. Idk how it's with other people but I make fun of my best friends all the time, same way they make fun of me. There's a certain level of trust needed to behave like that. They could also just be bold af and mean everything like they said but I don't think that's necessarily the case.

Heechul had like a program where he invites people to have a drink and talk about stuff, here are the links if you're interested. The (g)i-dle episode was in two parts : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haA57MIbnh0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI4zvfwucfc

Well: if ITZY was gonna leave altogether once before during pre debut... I think JYPE did a great job at growing them to their fame, and definitely deserves the credit for that. I agree with your assessment. Experimenting is for... VERY early on in your career and hell even once in a while from your main sound... But what IS ITZY's sound? I don't know. I mean I certainly know what I LIKE from ITZY best... But what does the ground stand for and represent? Yeah, at this point it's changing concepts. And not even fully leaning into that like VIXX and being "masters of concepts". DAMN, if JYP had leaned into that for them, it would be dope.

I'm not so sure about them leaving I-dle. It seems like they want out & specially at that time after what happened with Soojin but then, looking at the creative freedom they have achieved in Cube (largely thanks to Soyeon) & seeing how successful they are, they might just want to negotiate for better stuff rather than risk it somewhere else. On the other hand, they might just leave so they can bring Soojin back (is it too much of a dream?). Them having their own company would be the best, but Soyeon has said multiple times she doesn't want to run a company and it's understandable, as it would take away from creating. I'm looking forward to see what they do in the end but oh, I really do hope they don't disband.

i see your point but a company is different than a friend and if you know cube you know how shitty it is and if youre an idle fan you know how unsatisfied with cube they showed they were specially after the whole soojin thing that's why i don't doubt they mean all those jokes lol

ice4fresh

Yeah, I'm not gonna disagree. As I said, you could absolutely be right. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I'm gonna stick to it, for now at least.

I mean as a multifan for years, almost every group says they hate they're company haha. And then there's also a handful of groups who say they love their company and then end up leaving coughcoughgot7cough LMAO

I think they'd leave the company if they can resign as a group elsewhere (might be delusional thinking, bc I'm not a die hard fan so I don't really know how tight the girls are)

WiseSmellyLegs

I think the key thing will be SoYeon. If she leaves, all of them leave as well. That group cannot work without SoYeon as a producer… and even if some members wanted to stay as solo artists with Cube, I hope Cube would not continue with them as a “smaller (G)i-dle” and let them as solo artists only. On the other hand, Cube will offer SoYeon everything to stay… so I don’t know… I can imagine them going all together to another label, but at the same time I would understand if each one of them would go on their own way

I'm never quite sure about Idle's relationship with Cube. There's been... breadcrumbs the last few years... and they also made fun of the inadequacy of Cube's practice room in one of their other variety content. But in that same variety, it seemed like they had a good relationship with some of the executives that they could call them whenever they wanted. It's either (1) Idle is just messing around and Cube doesn't mind---because all it does is reinforce the perception that Idle is so independent, that they're even above their agency.... Or (2) Idle really DOES want out, and doesn't care. We'll find out in two years though. I'm of the opinion that Idle is too important for Cube to not offer them whatever they want. I recently saw a news headline that K-Pop might actually have a Big 5 when it comes to agencies, due to Idle elevating Cube.
