You need to see the choreography of "like crazy" the dance practice and the performance on Jimmy's Fallon show, it is the sexiest performance you will see of Jimin

OMG Jaehyuk and Blaire you both look amazing!!. Dezzy, after watching the teaser he said that this song had the Weeknd vibes and it really does. But it also has something that just Jimin does. It's like champagne for your ears. It really gets better as you hear it more and more.

Jimin explained that it's inspired by the movie Like Crazy, while also conveying his feelings from during the pandemic. A lot of theories are circulating around the mv itself - a popular theory I've seen (not my personal opinion, just one of many theories) is his battle between embracing his various sides; he talks about his reflection after walking through the club mirrored by a woman, he sits/stands between the two people in that video of a couple kissing. Even in Set Me Free Pt.2 his mirror was a woman (the parallel between his masculine and more feminine aspects - he's always been noted as one of the members most in-tune with his more feminine side). But it's also the mirror between Park Jimin and Jimin of BTS, etc He also talked about being in bts is his ONLY dream, and that he has no idea what he'd do if it ended. The entire album is a goddamn journey.

you really need to see dance practice to this it's says a lot. and also it's just amazing smooth sexy choreography

The album is said to cover his chronological thoughts during the pandemic and In Swtchita he said that for a time all he was doing was getting drunk and lost, he even lost contact with some of the members for a while before they went to vagas. The man and woman whispering in the beginning and end is from a movie named Like Crazy about people hurting in a long distance relationship and there is choreography for the song which also changes the perspective of what hes singing about. Its sort of a battle between his masc and fem side (or so it appears). I think if you watch his interview with SUGA it will really open your eyes to some things about Jimin and this album. really looking forward to your reactions to those.

the song's lyrics are supposed to represent Jimin's feelings during the pandemic: how he drank a lot and was depressed but didn't realize it until after the fact, because in that moment he thought he was happy and fine with drinking so much (source: suchwita episode). but the mv? I have my own opinions and theories, but I think it's supposed to be about his two sides; a masculine and feminine side. the woman in the music video is, in my opinion, supposed to represent his femininity (and in the choreography we see him dancing with a woman as if she's his reflection, the lyrics also talk about his reflection and during the mv we switch over to him looking in the mirror right as he comes face to face with the girl), while he is masculine. the part where he's in the bathroom with the makeup is also really interesting; he's wearing earrings and makeup on one side of his face, the other is bare. and then, when he's on the platform and people are kissing behind him, his 'feminine' side is turned toward the man while his masculine side is turned toward the woman and he's standing in the middle of them. and the muddy hand grabbing him is, possibly, the woman's hand, and by the end he and her have merged together and that is why his hand is also muddy. obviously this is all just theoretical but that's what I think! either way, it's a stunning mv because it's jimin :)

Here's my take on it. Jimin has hinted at seeing himself as both masculine and feminine many times in the past. In this there's two versions of Jimin. In the beginning of the mv we see him in standing against a wall in the club and it zooms into his eye and then it changes to Jimin alone in the room. These are his two sides. However, in his room he looks lost and alone whereas in the club he feels free and opens himself more. There is a woman in a leather jacket approaching him in the club and we see that they mirror each other. She even resembles Jimin. This woman represents his feminine side. The hand covered in soot at the beginning that pulls him is wearing a leather jacket like the girl is. When the hand pulls him he is pulled into the club and even looks confused as to why he' there. He then walks through the club and we see the woman also walking towards him before they meet and just stared at each other. It's like his feminine side is asking him to face the fact that he has the feminine side. That's why it then cuts the part of him staring at himself in the mirror. In the Set Me Free music video he is also in leather which makes me think that the Jimin in Set Me Free is a representation of him (his masculine side) and the woman (his feminine side) coming together and being free, hence, 'Set Me Free'. At the end we see Jimin back alone in his room but his hands are covered in the soot now which points even more at the fact that the woman is actually him pulling himself. Another small thing to note, in the hallway scene there's an red LED sign that says 'WC' which is a sign for restrooms but it isn't gendered which makes me think it's gender neutral.

Blaire you look so cute here :0

OHHH I ALSO JUST REALISED SOMETHING. In the beginning when he's standing against the wall in a club the voices are a conversation between a man and a woman (his masculine and feminine side) but at the end when he's in the room alone it's only a male voice.

PD's drip haha, Seoul's doing good for you

I am definitely in the camp that this is (& really the entire album) is very likely Jimin's journey with his gender, masculine vs feminine side. We KNOW this is something he has struggled with since at least debut as he has talked about it before, how during the early years of BTS he tried really hard to be this uber-macho masculine dude & how much that stressed him out and was hard for him because that's just *not* who he is. Ofc fans for a long time have said he's got the perfect mix of masculine vs feminine energy (& that's why its so easy that people fall for him. his androgyny is beautiful) but that's been hard for him to accept and only in the last couple years or so has he come to really accept that of himself, which matches how he was saying this was his emotions through the pandemic. Someone made a wonderful thread on the dance on twitter. I'm eager to see you guys react to the dance cuz its honestly pushes this theory a lot more. One of the dancers for him on Jimmy Fallon even posted about how they felt seen and comfortable in Jimin's dance for Like Crazy, even though they had given up dance, i believe, because they felt forced into a masculine vs feminine roll, but that's absent in the dance for Like Crazy. It's a very androgynes dance, it's stunning.

An interesting thing about Jimin is that he's actually very private (which is kind of true for all of the members), and I think it kind of shows in the music video(s). The video is relatively simple, the song isn't crazy with unexpected beat drops or tempo changes, so it's a very open book at first glance. But when you start to look more into it there's actually layers of things that Jimin's not saying explicitly and it adds a lot more depth to what the message is if that makes sense.

I love your spiritual journey and finding yourself PD, i resonate with it some much and I’m only 23 with a chronic disease too and I feel like i have nothing figured out, you give me hope though being with you for years and just enjoying the music together that i cant seem to share with anyone else. the new perspective you have now is changing me too, thank you seriously for your life and everything you do for us! I will always support you

Sammmme. I know Jimin is voluntarily very open about his thoughts sometimes but specifically in a targeted way to provide comfort and kindness. I always feel confused when people mention that Jimin is very open and easy to read because I find him very very hard to pin down what his essence is. And it feels like this album is the fullest glimpse I've been able to see of him as a person.

The song is abt jimin’s feeling during the pandemic time, when bts had to ponstone their work, Jimin drunk in the morning, feeling happy but wasted at the same time. The song is inspired by a romantic Movie called ‘Like Crazy’, which is abt a couple loving each other so much had to be separated in two country, they struggled and their relationship and love changed. The hand that pulls Jimin in into the club with black jacket is actually himself(you can see this outfit in set me free pt.2). The woman in the MV is the reflection of Jimin, if you check the choreo you can tell. There’s an interesting analysis that woman in the MV represents the feminine/other side of Jimin. ‘She’ was talking to ‘himself’. And they fell in love, and struggled, but still consisted of the whole Jimin. And finally ‘she’ disappeared/or was hidden again. He was alone again. The next track in the album is ‘Alone’. I think the woman was not necessarily the feminine side of Jimin, but some figure he created in his mind that could comfort him, or loved himself as who he was during a hard time.
