I'd never heard of Shin Dong Yeop before this episode but I really like him, he seemed to really get along with Suga, plus his perspective of someone who's survived and made it in the entertainment industry for so long is super interesting. They had a great conversation :)

My variety journey started with Shin Dong Yeop and to this day he is my favorite korean host so i absolutely loved this! I believe he is the only host (at least that big and correct me if I'm wrong) who will willingly talk about taboo subjects in a funny way but also while being respectful and he does it so perfectly. Recently he hosted the first queer reality show along with Hong Seok-Cheon and Hani and a veteran like him choosing to host a taboo show that might get hate in Korea, but did it because you need shows like these for change to happen, he got my whole respect for that. Also to look inside yourself and aknowledge the things that make you uncomfortable and trying to figure out why and do something about it is, in my opinion, very courageous. Anyway, all this just to say I really love Shin Dongyeop 🥲 (also the queer reality show is called Merry Queer, only 9 eps but a lot of love and respect is put into it and I really recommend watching it!)

For me, my first experience with Shin Dong Yeop was when he was co-hosting Strong Heart and then I saw all of the other shows he was on. I feel like it wasn't that long ago but that was 10 years ago.

I’ve been watching Shin Dong Yeop on Amazing Saturday/Nolto for a while and Suga described it perfectly where he does both of teasing and being able to be teased like he’s the most senior of the show and will play into to old man role as a bit here and there but will allow himself to be the one joked on by people many years his junior like Key and Taeyeon, he’s not too proud to not make himself the joke and toes the line perfectly on a cast with a variety of ages it’s great to see the chemistry and no pulling of rank it really keeps the show fresh
