I’m not sure if you’re waiting until after watching side b to read theories (in the case that you are and you see this, skip this!!), but the two theories I’ve seen are that it’s a representation of the relationship between idols and fans whose whole lives revolve around their idols (I believe that the girl’s name is ban heesoo in the story, which people have said sounds like “bunnies”, the fandom name I think?) or that it’s about grief and that there was a car crash and heesoo is the only survivor among the girls (evidenced by the arm cast and the deer)

i read a really nice theory on a youtube comment that was about her being an outcast/alone with no friends so newjeans were her little imaginary friends to get away from reality and they never existed (no crash on this one) but i like how it's open to interpretation

i really encourage you to look into the film with the same name, ditto, made in 2000. This music video's gimmicks seem to be inspired by this movie

Choi Hyun-wook, the guy you see in the video plays one of the lead roles in 2521, he became pretty popular through the drama. You can also see him in one of the more recent dramas (Weak Hero Class 1). The girl holding the camera plays On-jo in All of Us are Dead! :D It's quite fitting. Her name is Park Ji-hu! I really love this video and the song. Somehow it gives off a very nostalgic and sad feeling but also idk somewhat creepy? I get weird chills watching the videos.

Thank you for this reaction PD, also I want to clarify cause even though Ador is under Hybe but I think for Newjeans it's purely Min Heejin's work cause I remember in their debut she said that she did not want to get help from Hybe (I don't know if it's all aspect or certain aspect) and Hybe didn't even know when Newjeans debut and the sudden MV releases. So I think for Newjeans it's all Min Heejin ideas and vision I guess, anyone is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong.

No, because Min Heejin herself said so in one of her interviews, that other people outside Ador or something similar to that didn't know anything about Newjeans debut, but I agree too about them also using Hybe's money, that's why I said I don't know just in what aspect it is. If it is so then they really do believe in Min Heejin.
