I'll say the one thing about Demon Slayer that kept me and want to read the manga was the Hashira. I loved that they are this big cast of eclectic weirdos and have such clashing personalities. It made me want to learn more about each member and their backstory

What I really appreciate with Demon Slayer is the "realistic" character development. Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inoskue are new demon slayers, sure they have skills, but they are not at the same level as Hashira. Of course it would have been cool if Tanjiro killed the Rui (spider demon), but then the power level for the moon pillars (???) would seem low, and not as scary. Season 1 for me is were everything is establishes, who are the enemies? what is Tanjiros goal and motivation? Who are the demon slayers and how does the organisation function? Sorry for the rant😅
