So excited to watch this later today! I really enjoyed this EP overall, they've easily solidified themselves as one of my favorite 4th gen gg discographies

Regarding the random sidenote with the phone alarm, I don't know how it works on iPhone, but on android you can usually put the phone on silent (or vibrate) and leave alarms enabled, maybe check out if you can do that.

An interesting thing about their CEO, Kyusang-nim is that he sold the majority of his belongings including multiple cars in order to create woo!ah!. We love him a lot in the woo!ah! fandom.

The girls really did us WoWs proud. They are currently in Japan performing. In terms of variety content they've been on a lot of the things other groups have but they also had their own mini series called PR Team 22 in collaboration with an e sports company. A show I believe fromis9 would also do a year later

Nana isn't a former SM trainee. She was actually discovered and recruited by Kim Kyusang after seeing her perform in a dance competition. This was clarified in an interview he did. Wooyeon was a former SM trainee and Lucy was a former JYP trainee. For variety content I would recommend PR Team 22 and the Pixid episode with Nana. PR Team 22 is a really fun series especially if you followed the Starcraft pro scene back in the day as it features Hong Jin Ho (YellOw). The Pixid episode includes Nana, Nayeon (TWICE), Haewon (NMIXX), Moon Sua (Billlie), and Bahiyyih (Kep1er). The concept of the show is that they are all in an anonymous chat room and have to guess who is pretending to be a rookie idol.

Right, Nana was scouted by an SM employee but never went there because she was already training under Kim Kyusang and felt loyal to him.

as far as marketing goes their label is doing something a lot of other smaller groups aren't doing which is putting subs on all their content. i find it really hard to emotionally engage with a group if i can't follow their other content, so that made a huge difference for me in really getting into woo!ah! compared to some of their peers!

Please PD react to PR Team 22 a collab show they did with an e sports company ^^

Yes it's a solid album! My favorite song of Woo!Ah! is Catch the stars because it's so catchy and bc it was my 1rst song hearing from Woo!Ah! that makes me feel interesting to hear others songs of Woo!Ah!. Before Catch the star, i didn't know them and i heard their song before that i love too, it was hard to find their physical single but i finally have all their physical single. I was disappointed that Catch the star was a digital single before seeing it in Joy 1rst mini-album and i was so happy! And i bought this album when all the songs were released. At 1rst, i prefered all the b-sides than Danger then Danger grows on me. But Catch the stars has the potential to be the title track of a physical single or of Album. Danger too is great to be the title track and i love it now. I love when they said their name and exactly, it sounds like the expression, wooah expression that i hear in korean in Attorney Woo with Park eun bi.

My finale ranking of this album is: 1) Catch the stars my favorite, 2) Straight up, 3) Go away (perfect song for summer), 4) Danger, 5) Joyride, 6) Switch up and yes from their debut, precedent sing to this finally 1rst mini-album, they has such potential. I hope too they can be more known and recognized like WJSN Cosmic girl is now after Queendom. And Cosmic girl has cute identity but their 1rst mini-album was too cute and not well produced like the 2nd mini-album because they forced their voice to be more cuter but i love Secret from Cosmic girl. And then their music production get better after the 2nd album and i love Dreams come true, save me save you and learned recently that Yeonjung wasn't in their 1rst debut mini-abum but appeared in Secret, the 2nd mini-album. Yeonjung's high note's voice with more better music production makes their sound identity

47:22 I’m glad you said this! Recently I’ve been describing woo!ah! as what would happen if you told JYPE to try to recreate Red Velvet. They have the refreshing pop vibe that JYPE does so well, but with the boldness of an SM group. I love the sound they are curating for themselves and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

The CEO was really sincere towards this group, besides selling a lot of his belongings, he also asked for favours (begged the competition staff, breaking some rules) at a dance competition to get Nana's contact info (she was participating in it, and the rules he broke are about getting competitors contact info), visited Nana's parents, and tried to persuade them showing them all the choreos he had made for famous groups and showed them clips of a tv show he was appearing in at the moment. This was the CEO of the company, mind you. there are similar stories about the castings for the other membes, there's a youtube channel that did a mini documentary about the creation of wooah, and another one about Nana's story specifically. They were short and interesting, the channel is Doyouram, if anyone is interested. just search wooah doyouram and you should come across both videos.

It was funny learning all of this stuff and then seeing him in woo!ah!'s pre-debut videos being all stern and gruff. I have no idea what he's like in real life but I want to believe he was hamming it up for the camera.

Donslaught

PD if you're looking for woo!ah! content to watch I am more than glad to recommend (again) their "Follow [insert_member]'s Lead!" series. So far they only have Nana and Lucy but I'm sure we'll get to see more (maybe Sora's since they're in Japan right now...) I'll also second that Pixid episode, even though it only has Nana in it. It was hilarious. TWICE's Nayeon has to pretend to be a rookie in a text chat with actual rookies and they have to guess who the sunbae is.

can you post a listening party to enhypen’s new album?

A

I just now remembered that you'll do a listening party for this album and saw you've posted it already! Might be late to the party but I'm glad that this community already mentioned the things I wanted to mention after finishing the video. The thing that pulled me to pledge is that not only because of the listening party alone but I can see that you're very true about them and seeing their potential cause not a lot of reactors see that. And as a wow I felt like they're really really still under the radar and I'm glad that this ep got a grip of what's coming after this. One thing I do like about this is that, they did smart about having Catch the Stars being their single before this cause quiet a lot of people was drawn to check them and what they're capable of. Cause their discography is just golden. And they did this ep as diverse as possible that not only what music they can offer but specially also how great of a vocal group they are. I think that's one of the things that people are missing out. Cause here's the thing (just to add up on the other comment), Kim Kyusang is a choreographer. Which may lead us thinking they're a group to show off dances (which what they're also doing right now). Imagine a group pulling a choreography for all of their songs (including bsides) before this ep. Like, not a lot of rookie groups do that but hey, surprisingly, their vocals individually and as a group should've been on mainstream level already. They really really do well with vocals despite having a choreographer producer (mind to everyone that Han Jiseok left NV before QURIOUS was out and made his own ent. company). Saw this on a YT comment under the name squishy and as far as I can see they're true as well about what they're talking to and really is invested to woo!ah!. As what the other comment says, I highly suggest 홍보 22팀 as well for the variety you should check out. Nana mentioned that they don't have a script and they only have a storyline to follow so it shows their natural comedic instinct. Plus NV in particular are like the type of company that, if they won't be invited to the mainstream variety shows, they will do their own variety show lol so you might as well check their original contents (like WAPLE and their vlogs). I hope all the very best for woo!ah! in the future!

Straight Up is like Purple Kiss' Twinkle. On my first listen I got instantly hooked and I can't get the song out of my head, I'm that obsessed.
