You should watch the prologue films for the first album and this one. It'll help to give a better understanding of their lore and what their songs are about. It was the top voted request at the end of the last GG stream, but you sadly ran out of time for the stream. It's about 20 minutes of total runtime for all 3 films combined.

i really loved this mini :D idk who else here has played persona, but "a sign ~ anonymous" gives me major persona ost vibes

*puts Belllie've hat on* ahem- Okay so, the simplest way I can explain the weird album titles is this - one, yes it is ALL lore related and two, there are two storylines going on. That's why the two EPs seem to have two different vibes, it's actually deliberate. They are telling two stories concurrently. Most of us think that the next comeback will go back to continue the debut storyline. The Billage of Perception story is based more in reality, the girls' perspective on the real/adult world. That series is more horror/mystery inspired - heavy Stranger Things/IT vibes overall, but yet also some visual aesthetic inspiration from the movie The Virgin Suicides. It subtly deals with mental health struggles, calling out the hypocrisy of society, and dealing with grief and guilt("Billlie Love"). And you kinda nailed it on the head with the dreamy comment - The Collective Soul and Unconscious(plus Snowy Night is considered a "prequel" in this storyline) is based in the dream world, the girls' imagination and unconscious/subconscious thoughts. And as they said before, GGMGY is about searching for their own identity and also the suspicion/confusion young people have about the adult world and growing up. That's why the music is dreamy and even uplifting - yet has an underlying sense of unease/creepiness. We tried at the recent GG livestream to get you to watch all the lore videos they've put out since debut era to now, but I kinda want it to be its own special Patreon reaction video, tbh. I think they are well directed and interesting to dissect, even if you don't understand what's going on(especially the Ring x Ring era ones, which were done by in-house director Hwang Soo Ah and not Zanybros like with Snowy Night/GGMGY). Also I know 20+ minutes at one time of a single group in the livestreams is kinda inconsiderate to other fans in the chat, so that's why I really want a full separate reaction hahah 😅 BTW, here's a quick lore playlist I compiled, if you ever *do* end up checking them out: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpP3WLCgmqnpQYW6YOXclbn_jdEzVjNk6

I wish Moon Palace was longer than 2:25 because it's so good... But also, maybe it should be that short, because it gives me a sort of unsettling vibe, like something is a little off just outside of my eyesight and I can't quite place it, and I really enjoy that feeling when it comes from music lol. Like the sound of the coinflip at the end, taking us back to Flipping a Coin, is very interesting...

After you named all the songs the JYP producer of "believe" worked on (mainly the TWICE songs) I immediately added it to my playlist before I heard it.

OKAY BUT YOUR MASHUP IDEA OF BELIEVE AND HOME WORKS SO WELL I NEED SOMEONE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN 😮 I think it’s bc they are similar tempo and have similar vibes (mid-tempo, emotional top lines, a similar melodic shape in the chorus with the rise and fall of the notes, and a very similar brass synth sound). But for real though, this album and comeback solidified me as a Billlie stan. I don’t often stan groups off of debut albums even if they impress me because I want to see if they continue making quality bsides, and Billlie did so I have no choice but to stan. I’m excited to see what they do next with their story and hope they get more hype, especially after Tsuki went viral.

The b-sides from their debut EP, although extremely unique, didn't really captivate me. Luckily with this one, I couldn't help but get a physical copy after I found myself unhealthily obsessed with all the tracks. Also, the physical album is SO pretty! It's probably one of the prettiest albums I own and I have over 30 lol, definitely do not regret the purchase!

As a casual listener I absolutely loved reading this and finding out they have two ongoing storylines, hella dope. Thanks for the info! <3
