Will not be releasing WEEEKLY's PLAY GAME: AWAKE (Patreon)

Hey folks, initially we added Weeekly's PLAY GAME: AWAKE to our schedule but when we got down to filming it... I didn't like it! It's a short single but I wasn't a fan of either B-sides so I had nothing to say and did not finish the video.

We wanted to make this post the day the video was supposed to release in case people were looking out for it. It's a rare occurrence that I wind up not liking something and have to cancel a video but we hope you understand!

Yeah it’s best not to post the reaction if you didn’t enjoy it. Because people like reactions because they want to watch someone else feel things they felt. And if you felt differently from them, it would probably be disappointing to them. So it’s for the best

I think ven para and solar are what I'd call "performance-focused songs". They are pretty ordinary songs as a standalone but on stage, the song sounds better a notch.

I prefer their cute/teen crush concept. They are still young and the members are cute and energetic and girl crush is pretty boring nowadays because there are so many girl crush girl group right now. They thought that girl crush concept = global popularity. Even their commercial song 7 days Tension is better than their 2 recent comeback.

Totally understand! Although I’m kind of surprised you didn’t like Solar. I like Solar WAY more than I like the title track. But overall I think the concept switch was a terrible move on their company’s part. It was messy, didn’t fit the girls (no hate to them bc they did their best but it just felt a bit too mature and forced for them) and while there was a long time between it and and After School, I still think it was a bad move to completely switch concepts after the massive streaming success After School had. Hoping their team reevaluates things after this. So unfortunate for the girls bc they are so talented but this was just a bad decision from their company

Understandable PD. Weeekly was the biggest surprise for me last year with After School so I also expect a lot from them this year. Sadly for me, this is the biggest letdown comeback of the year so far. And they lost their distinct concept to another girlcrush again…their physical may increased but their digital was abysmal. They have potential with After school and sadly that momentum is gone.

Maybe, but they've yet to release a Kulture Study for Maison so I don't think it's likely. Besides, they usually wait until the next month for listening parties, sometimes longer for studio albums

they took down heir kulture study set, which is why they haven't been posting on youtube. I believe they mentioned they will get to new releases for kulture studies etc. this week?
