only gonna get worse emotionally XD

CRAYON weiwen

Wait until the pianoman level 99, it will be more emotional

Oh is going to be a roller coaster, the birth of iz*one is like an anime series. You got every story line and main character imaginable.

Wiktor

Unfortunately Dayeon was not popular on Produce48. Her fanbase was EXTREMELY small going into Girls Planet999. Her (Dayeon), Hikaru and Youngeun are the only Kep1er members without a pre-show fanbase. Xiaoting (Previous survival shows in china), Yujin (CLC fanbase), Mashiro (ITZY&Stray Kids and JYP fans always got for JYP trainee on survival shows), Chae Hyun (Aespa and SM fans), Bahiyyih (BIGHIT and TXT fans), Yeseo (Busters fanbase). Outside of the 3 named above, the rest of Kep1er had pre-exisitng fanbases prior to the show. Which brings me to my PERSONAL next issue... = Being a new trainee and underground trainee on a produce / survival show makes it HARD to debut as other trainees come in with fandoms beforehand! ---- I Recommend checking out ''My Teenage Girl'' Survival Show By MBC Next (they just finished the show so PLEASE ignore any 'CLASSy" content !!!!!! My Teen Girl did a different approach! of making a pre-show variety content with the contestants and training the trainees leading up to the actual show on YouTube 'After School Excitement' and most contestants are unknown and it was more fair that way.

Re the rigging, they never revealed the actual rankings or who was rigged in, to protect the members (I wholeheartedly support this). I do hope you'll look up the members who were rigged out, because I think they deserve to have their efforts and results recognised.

ThatPatreonThough

Also, blonde girls isn’t the rapper from Secret Number. It’s the girl she came in with. They’re both the ex-YG trainees. Jinny is the brown hair one and I’m Secret Number.

babymetalic

the blonde girl actually isnt the one from secret number, it's the girl that was with her in the same company, she has brown hair in this so she isnt as recognizable

babymetalic

yes!! my teenage girl was so entertaining i was more invested than ive ever been in any other survival show

Wendalla

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but when PD said Lee Yujeong reminded him of fromis_9's jiheon, Yujeong is actually in Lightsum right now.

Holly

fun fact! they showed a small snippet of the "energizer" from season 2 who danced to pick me during the break time (near the beginning of the episode). that's ahn hyeongseop, who actually just finally made his debut in TEMPEST!

Otto

Yes Jinny is the other girl! >_<

tigerhoshi

Yep it was the thing I pointed out too from the last ep, what makes me like PD48 is the way you can actually see the trainors giving advice, techniques, which works right away. It's so fascinating! Also, Chaeyeon. She's just so good. I'm so excited going forward, somehow rewatching PD48 is always a fascinating experience for me. Also seeing Soyou is amazing because later on IZ*ONE and Soyou would be releasing the iconic Pepsi Attitude song ad LMAO. It's stuck in my mind again

jimmy

i love how 50% of PD's comments are "she reminds me of someone" "she looks exactly like X idol from X group" "i had no idea she was in this show"

CRAYON weiwen

1:46:58 PD attacked by crying Sakura combo with pianoman spamming Nekkoya The trainers are so awesome in the show, even Lee Seung-gi have give good advices for the girls in late episode, they really care about the girls and hope them all success.

excellen

PD, Woollim sent to PD48 Eunbi and Chaewon, who made it to Izone and also as you saw Suyun but they also sent Sohee! Don't know if Sohee has any screentime in this but if she has some I can't wait for you to go "IS THAT SOHEE???" like you do in recent Rocket Punch MVs reactions lol.

RobotoMon

I wasn't sure if you knew, but Eunchae, who danced with Hitomi in class C, is also a member of BugAboo. Rewatching this, I forgot that Alex Christine from rank B is AleXa!

Courtney

i was so excited for this episode because haeun was my top pick (along with chaeyeon) and i feel like she was very overlooked on the show despite being extremely talented, ive followed her since her elimination and she’s only gotten better and better 😭 she does have instagram if anyone wants to check out her recent covers @i_ha.eun she’s crazy good now!! unfortunately she left MNH but hopefully she debuts soon

Irving

Producex101 was the only produce season that had a same-gender "national representative" and I definitely see the difference there and the points that you mention

채채즈

Lee Seung Gi will have more roles later and he also gives good advice to the trainees, and they do care for mental health in this cause there is some segment that shows it in my opinion. Also, the structure in PD48 and GP999 is the same with a little difference at the beginning which you mention. Yes, Yuri almost become a fromis_9 member :), which thankfully not because she's one of my biases in IZ*ONE, and not that it's not good in fromis_9, I just love seeing Yuri in IZ*ONE. The one you said is super pretty, Go Yoo Jin from Blockberry is the one you always thought she's Eunbi when you react to PD48 Nekkoya in your livestream. Can't wait for next week's episode, it just getting better and better.

a k

Kim Dayeon wasn't really popular in PD48. Didn't even remember her initially in GP999 until I had to research about her, and realized "Huh, she was in PD48?!" Jurina has always been a competitive girl, even when she was just starting out in SKE48. Girl was already center at age 12, given chances to be with the then-aces of AKB48 in their title tracks. Sakura's hardworking visage has charmed many people, myself included. Her improvements were just a sight to behold, especially when she was in the dance break in Secret Story of the Swan. Really a hurrah for her. Next episode is going to be a rollercoaster. PD might be in for a shock, lol. I have rewatched PD48 and that episode is still gold.

a k

I totally forgot, but Mnet posted the uncut versions of the trainees' initial evaluations! I'm going to link some that may be of interest to you: CNC Trainees https://youtu.be/oK9PIhnUkZU Matsui Jurina https://youtu.be/R9Z-R0wCLwg Han Chowon (CUBE) https://youtu.be/BVnICyR_UJY Really glad they uploaded these for people to see.

a k

I COMPLETELY forgot, but I totally agree that Dear J wasn't really a good song choice for Jurina. She could have totally went with her own song, Akai Pinheel to Professor. Must watch for PD. https://youtu.be/BnPm4MC2OHc

Busboyz

Not sure if I missed you noticing this already, but in case you didn't, AleXa is in this show (received grade B), but receives no screen time and her performances weren't shown.

Courtney

i’m back after watching the full reaction lmao and yes she left MNH. it was sort of implied after she opened her instagram account but she still followed some accounts associated with MNH so it wasn’t confirmed but she did confirm it on her IG story later. I’m really hoping she will debut soon because she is crazy talented, she was very good on PD48 and she’s only gotten better, i love that you took notice to her! If you want to see how she improved just check out out her instagram, she has some vocal and dance covers up there!

Chad Williams

the one u thought was weeekly was rocket punch member 3 rocket punch girls are in this

leinie

pretty sure pd already mentioned this in episode 1 since they're friends with alexa

Oligom

PD, I think you should print a list of the already debuted idols that appeared in pd48 and have it beside your notes while you watch 😂😂😂

CRAYON weiwen

As suggest by other patreon before, PD you should use this link for better quality, you deserve better. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1DNFYAKrWucIerZyYiZkBC_X6LTiykmcE

NM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si7HfuZyZpA this video has all the updates about the members - note it doesn't include the izone members

Calida

The girl Sian (the one who said she looks like Jung Chaeyeon) sort of looks like a female version of Woodz to me for some reason and I dig it!

Lisa H

Ngl this episode made me sideye the show a bit when I first watched it, I didn't really understand how Sakura got an A, especially when Jurina got a B, and in my opinion they were pretty much on par skill wise (with Jurina being just the tiniest bit better). I thought B was the right grade for Jurina and Sakura should have gotten a B as well. It was especially shocking to see that the one intimidating lady give her an A, and say that they should "believe in her this time" bc she's usually pretty harsh. I wouldn't expect her to give a grade based on potential or "belivieing" in someone. It was surprising tbh. edit: i finally finished the video and saw you addressed exactly what I mentioned here at the end lol, I can see it in that case. Sakura showed she had potential while Jurina's performance was very, flat-ish.

Anonymous

Yeah I agree, Sakura was a B at best. I honestly thought it was because of her popularity rather than potential, but then I watched the first and second season of produce and they also gave A to contestants they thought had potential. I wonder how they assess "potential".

채채즈

Also, I just remember, since this episode shows Nako and Hitomi's potential for the first time in this show. Really proud of what they become right now since they go back to their own respective group they became the center in their group and it seems that the practice that they got when they're in IZ*ONE is also being implemented in their group, it seems so for AKB48 especially the girls there said Hitomi always lead and watch their practice. This is all because of their hard work, they made it this far

formoftherapy

Oh did Nako and Hitomi return to their groups? Not gonna lie I was hoping Nako would promote more in the K-industry 😭

Serena

produce always has a way to make you cry i stg 😭 especially during these early stages with the rank groups u can see how close they get and especially with the lower rankers how much they wanna improve. i remember how much i cried during produce x 101 too since that was my first produce season

Interestingly enough, the lack of lessons and presence of the mentors actually mentoring the trainees on GP999 was one of the main criticisms of the new format of the show (it was quite evident from the structure of the show that 999 was Produce repackaged as the challenges were identical). A lot of viewers didn't like how their was no longer any visible guidance or instructions to help the trainees which sometimes even negatively affected them - a lot of the trainees on Girl's Planet looked like they were straining their voices to hit the high notes which they were never told would actually hurt them in the long run, while I feel like on Produce they would try to remedy this.

brianna a

It's interesting seeing alexa here in class B, she obviously has talent and skills but she got no screentime and such... but let's all be honest, alexa was meant to be a solo artist and do her whole robot concept XD

Bwbble

Honestly I think you should talk abt the scandal at the end of the final ep, it would be interesting to see the girls who were in the non-manipulated lineup and where they are now. I also totally get your opinion on "not caring" abt the scandal, you said it very well.

h.

pd48 was honestly the saddest and then s2 i think

Anonymous

i think produce48 is devastating hehe, but still my favorite among the entire produce series and about dayeon, i think almost no one remembered that she was in produce at first 😢 doah was more remembered as the girl from produce48

Elle

I agree seeing Hyewon crying was devastating especially since she is my IZ*ONE bias

Anonymous

In girls planet they went straight into performing the first stage, which I was very shocked about back then. I really like the classes and training that they hold for the trainees in produce and I feel like while they might also have some lessons with the mentors in girls planet, which I didn't get to see if there were, overall the mentors feel more like the judges. I think providing the basic training for the girls at the beginning really helped to build up their confidence and skills. And Produce 48 for me is sad mostly because of the Japanese girls, they have already debuted for serval years, and challenging themselves and acknowledging that they are not as good as some of the trainees just made me sad. Overall I think a lot of the Japanese girls are very optimistic and I love their energy and just them not giving up and trying really hard!! Last but not least, I love BAE YOONJUNG, honestly I love her so much!!!! It's so bad for me that she wasn't in girls planet honestly.

kung lao

pd you will cry towards the end of produce 48 as it gets emotional and then u will follow up with one the story izone's last concert where you wont be able to hold your tears

This is my first time watching any of the produce series and i have to say two episodes in im actually really enjoying it. Comparing it to the girls planet series im really enjoying the set up. While they have showed a couple girls more then once i feel like ive seen so many more in this first stage then i did in like two rounds of 999. I wasnt into Iz*one, im joining in just to see how the program is and i feel like its a very interesting set up in general. I actually like the ranking (i didnt think i would) i think its a good way for the girls to see where the mentors belive their skills are and how they have to work to not only be good enough to debut but also get rewarded for working hard. I was aware of the japenese idol groups but had no idea of how they worked, its so interesting to hear from the girls themselves how diffrent their skills are and what they focus on there. I guess i was kinda throw off guard becase of how they were in 999? maybe because they were more focused on debuting in korea so their skills were different? Im not saying the girls on 999 where better just that they didnt seem to be portrayed in this fashion? Does that make sense? I also love seeing the training they are getting, i know we were told that they got some on 999 but this seems very in debt. The trainers seem to put in alot of work to help the girls, you can see how proud they are when they are improving. Im excited for the next episod! To see how the evaluations turned out and am hoping to actually see them proform. I feel kinda less pressured watching this survival program, probably because im not a iz*one fan. I feel like in the other programs i watched (iland, Stray kids, Treasure box and 999) i was already aware who made the groups but was stressed watching because i already had attachments and expectations. Its like i dont need to stress to much about who makes the final lineup (because they are already disbanded) and can just focus on how i feel about the girls and the performances.

a k

I would like to think that the reason why there was less trainer time in GP999 was because of the pandemic. I think had it not been the case, we'd get better performances overall. Wishful thinking for me 🥲

Otto

Probably this comment is already here. But Eunbi and Chaewon are with Suyun and Sohee from Rocket Punch. Woolim trainees :) that’s why suyun looked familiar to PD around minute 41

Otto

I think Eunchae (the girl who danced with Hitomi) is from bugaboo too? and also I didn't know Alexa was here? maybe i'm wrong?

Di

I also only recognised Haeyoon in this ep after watching so many of their performance stages of their latest comeback recently. Aah watching the girls call their mums was so hard to watch.

Poklong Fuentes

Jinny from Secret Number is the one WITH the blonde girl during entrance, she's also the girl on the right at 1:09:08. The one who was added to Secret Number, Minji is also here. Yoojung (the one in the group with Dayeon) also debuted in LIGHTSUM with Nayoung. Alexa is also here at 1:08:25 :D

Lisa H

one thing i liked about produce that they didn't show in gp999 was the process of learning the theme song and picking centers. this was one of my favorites part of the shows, watching their process, seeing who improved and who faltered, etc. wish they included it in gp999. they also didn't do the phonecalls to family in gp999 either I don't think. edit: yess, the more I watch, the more I miss this format 😭 its sooo interesting and its really nice to see the trainers actually train the trainees in this way. edit #2: my god this episode was sad 😭. This show was definitely more emotional than the others. I think showing the struggles of the Japanese trainees really added to that.

Violet Joo

I remember that there was a lot of debate after Sakura got A. That trainer Bae Yun Jung got a lot of critique but I now get what she said. She really thought Sakura had that idol spark and I kinda agree with her. Also I heard that in Japan after idols graduate there is not a lot of opportunities.

kyujinz

glad you mentioned bvndit, they just confirmed they are having a may cb!!

Alex D

NOOOOO!!!! THE FIRST 7 EPISODES ARE GONE!!!! PATREON, GIVE PD BACK HIS CHANNEL!!!!!!
