My take was they're all grown up 😭

Neoriginal Crucial

You should watch the performance stage for escape room .. It's legendary 😉

fei

thank you pd for reacting to this! i also do think that escape room has to be listened to in a certain mood. but the song does feel different if you listen to it with choreography tho. and yes probably one of my favourite albums from them!

Tesa

hush hush is definitely my favourite besides the title track! i just love how cohesive this album is!

firstwoii

My jaw dropped the first time I saw the stage. Like 'This is fromis_9?!?!' lol

I’d say Escape Room is my favorite after DM. Even though I definitely liked it before seeing the stages, the performance made me appreciate it more like it usually does for most songs, I think. It’s a concept that was new for them, and I think they liked trying something new as well. Great album overall!

Pd's thoughts about escape room made a lot of sense to me I think i liked escape room more than i should have because i saw the performance first before listening to its audio version but listening to the song WITH the performance definitely enhances the song a lot. Insane choreo too!

rent

YESS i thought i was the only one who was obsessed with the Hush Hush pre-chorus!

Personally i don't think there was that much change in sound with the label switch from OTR to Pledis. there are a lot of the same credits(prismfilter, shannon from ex-pristin) from the albums My Little Society, 9 Way Ticket, and Midnight Guest. OTR was co-managed by Pledis already. Even on Fun Factory you have Woozi and BUMZU producing a b-side for them.During the Stone ENT days you have Baekho writing credits on DKDK and ex-Pristin Kyulkyung doing the demo for Glass Shoes, so Pledis has had a lot of influence since the start.

Jeebs92

Seoyeon is the main rapper in the group

Jeebs92

ya Pledis was still incharge of there music when they were under OTR they now just fully manage them instead of just there music

I was waiting for this listening party all month, it was so good! I think overall my favourite songs are hush hush and DM because I think I am also really basic with that type of pop sound. However, overall I also loved all the emotions that their songs had, I agree on how relatable and impactful all there songs are. I need to agree that this is their best album so far. It would be great if you could also check out some of Fromis_9’s channel/variety content as I think they are great! Btw love your vids PD

I think out of all the groups I listen to, I think the progression of fromis_9's music is the best reflection of aging along with the concept, especially if you look at Glass Shoes to DM. The sound is still the same and I think that's only possible since they've been produced by Pledis since the start. Not sure if it's intentional but I think the timing of this fully adult concept is also since Jiheon is finally adult age this year. I'd also echo some other people's suggestions of checking out fromis_9's variety/channel content, might just be the Pledis team handling it but reminds me of Going Seventeen where they give the members the concept and the main draw is how the members just go with it freely.

I'm definitely with you, PD, in the loving of Love Is Around. For me, it strikes similar chords as Luther Vandross' music. Specifically "If This World Were Mine." My favorite B side on this album 100%.

To be honest, i cried when i listen to this album for the first time. It's so emotional. And yes, the album has 새벽감성 as they introduced the album themselves and best listen to it in midnight until the sun rise as like you say

RobotoMon

Ye I was a little confused about that. I went back to listen to their discography, and I only heard possibly 2 rap verses from Saerom. Chaeyoung and Seoyeon are the rappers. I think Jiheon rapped more than Saerom

Brennan

I loved this album so much, especially Hush Hush! Unfortunately though I don't think anything can surpass Airplane Mode for me. That song will forever be on repeat in my head. ;D
