Sorry, this will be long, lol, but moral discussions can be lengthy. So, I've been watching this show with you, and I have enjoyed the moral dilemmas and issues that the show brings up. I find Yohan a compelling character, but he took it way too far this time. He says throughout this episode that one life should be enough; however, when Gaon asked him if his plan when they went to that evacuation site were to rile up the people, knowing it would have an innocent person or persons killed, he didn't protest. This means he knew something like this would happen, but he didn't care as long as his plan succeeded. In my opinion, this makes Yohan just as bad as the president, who was willing to sacrifice others by spreading that virus not only to protect himself but to make sure his ideas and plans succeeded. This show illustrates a world of extremes. The chief justice and Suhyeon are on the side of peace, while the government people and Yohan are on the side of chaos when it benefits them and their cause. However, Gaon is the only one in the middle. Gaon will do things to help the country's people, but he is also not willing to do anything to put the citizens in danger or mental turmoil. If I were placed in a situation where I had to vote, I would vote no. However, I don't know if I would if I lived in that world. Through the clips they showed, some people chose that option not because they believed it was the right choice but because of other factors, such as peer pressure, disbelief (wanting to see if Yohan would do it), and because of their anger against this person. The whole point of the justice system is to be impartial and not let your personal feelings affect your judgment, but I don't think that the future justice system that Yohan envisions honors that. Overall, I believe that Yohan's ideas in this episode were flawed and biased, which stems from losing his second in command. Similar to how you both thought that Gaon might go off the rails with Suhyeon's death, I think that's what happened with Yohan. He is now willing to do anything to succeed.

When I saw this episode the first time I also had some time of my own thinking, if it was me what would I do. For me…I might have pressed thumbs down. I also do hate that MF guy but the way it is being voted and how it is staged is so wrong…This is what i thought. 1. Making people to vote while they show him being electrocuted on TV is a big nono for me.. It felt like the Stanley Milgram’s Experiment when the people started to vote more after seeing the bastard slowly being electrocuted. The speed didn’t slow down even after seeing him be in pain. From that point it didn’t seem like they pressed the thumbs up button because they honestly thought he deserved punishment but slightly being forced by seeing all those people say yes on the death penalty. 2. When I started to see this drama I thought the voting method is a very good way, since I sometimes didn’t agree with the punishment for some criminals. However while watching, I learned that these courts could manipulate the voters as well. Trying to think of that, it was scary. Everyone should be equal in front of law but in this court Yohan’s word effects the people’s decision which could lead to a wrong path. Even though I would vote for Thumbs down(in this situation), this doesn’t mean I want him to be free tho.😅 Death penalty yes or no does not matter.. He should not be out in the society. He killed a person while knowing everyone is watching him and literally “hunted down” foreign workers with his gang. He should be in jail and also in the mental hospital until he dies. If it was not broadcast? if they gave enough time for the people to think and vote? maybe I might change my mind then, but if the situation is like in the drama I might have picked Thumbs down.

episode 15 is… definitely something. 16 too, but in a different way

Well PD you'll just have to watch to know that, and yes I agree ep 16 was also something else but definitely easier to get through than 15
