Actually, Jinyoung and Jisung won the "Bromance Award of the Year" on TIVING Awards just days ago. 😅 their chemistry is really no joke. They call it "dystopian settings" but the scenarios are very realistic, even the cases they tackled also came from real cases years ago. Sometimes it makes me question if we're now in that world. Btw, Merry Christmas! Thing will just get better from here 😊

Wait omg I just noticed wtf, is that the Ali actor from squid game, during the foreigners protest scene?!

Malaki.H

This was such a stupid move from seohyun to be honest, leaving elijah like that

Malaki.H

Yes definitely, everyone can see the intense chemistry between jisung and jinyoung , like its not really sexual tension but its also very intense? I really don't how to describe it

Great episode, glad that the lines have finally been drawn and we now know who is on which side. Yeah, the President definitely seems to be inspired by Trump - although he isn't as sleazy or as dumb as Trump. In general the show is almost like Black Mirror in the way it reflects back the worst parts of our reality. Btw, I'm pretty sure that Anupam Tripathi - who played Ali in Squid Game - playing one of the protesting workers being attacked by the fascist thugs.

when you were talking about korean gun policies, specifically that there were certain restrictions on the bullets in the guns detectives have, i remembered the scene from squid game where the detective was cornered on the cliff by the front man. the front man had said something about how he knows he only has one bullet left, cuz korean police guns have one blank and some number of bullets (i don’t remember completely). i took it for granted that time, because i don’t really know anything about guns so i figured that was normal, but i’ve realized now that it’s specifically a korean thing! this why i really love and appreciate your reactions, pd! i learn so much about korean culture and lifestyle, as well as music and film production. i feel like i can appreciate and respect korean media (both kpop and kdramas) so much better because of the context i have. thanks so much for this, can’t wait for next episode!

Apparently all of the cases related to yohan’s helpers are based on real cases in korea too. But yeah I got major trump vibes from the president

I had the same problem I mean not really a problem more like internal debat with Jisung on " Secret Love " Less on "Boss" He was an Asshole kinda in beginning of both but like even in "Secret love" the scenes that I was supposed to be like "oh this is so bad " I was like " Wait is this supposed to be er... I should be mad now, right? what da heck!!" Lol For The ones who watched Secret Love I'm talking about the stairs scene, if you know you know.

It was supposed to be after the pandemic. The writer had this inspiration during Covid. The whole story is based on "what if there's a hero if the world of the pandemic when everyone has lost faith and trust, how would that be?" The writer is also a former Korean judge who resigned. The president here doesn't only used Trump as an inspiration, he also took what happened in Hong Kong and China as inspirations. The black shirted gangs working for the government beating up citizens, the police brutality, forcing citizens and students to show their bags in subways, and the way how the CCP used "foreign power influences" as a way to spark hate, (and also included how Trump sparked racism to divide its people and encouraged violence against POCs). Being a POC who came from Hong Kong, and lived in the states 1/3 of my life, this drama really hits it SO close to home. It's all too real.
