fantastic debut for Japan + the MV is really emotional (to me) bc it summarizes almost 5yrs worth of lore/content AND it’s the perfect way to introduce new listeners to the world of Loona.. excited for the first jpn comeback

There are really a mind boggling number of references in the MV. Heejin surrounded by floating cleaning supplies like in vivid, hyunjin’s cat planet, haseul with branches and a white bird, yeojin’s kiss later outfit, vivi in skates!!!; Lip in eclipse outfit like you said, jinsoul surrounded by cherry cans like she was in Egoist, choerry upside down and using mirrors again, yves playing golf with a stuffed bunny, chuu with a camera and sitting on her green apple, gowon with pineapple, and Olivia with flames and her yyxy outfit! And much more. 😜

Okay so from my lockdown study of japanese kanji it's got the same double meaning as korean because 月 can both mean month and moon

今月 (kon-getsu) の (no) 少女 (shoh-jo). Kon-getsu = this month, no = of, shoh-jo =a girl(or girls). 今月 and 少女 are both loan words from Chinese. The kanji 月 is also read as 'tsuki'(a Japanese native word), in which case the word can mean both 'moon' and 'month'. So, I don't think Japanese people feel that there's a double meaning in 今月の少女.

I really love the choreography. It’s super fast paced and detailed like their other choreography’s even as a bright song. And the choreography references their past choreographies as well. Which I love because the mv references so many of their past mvs too. So i feel like they go hand and hand

The literal translation of kongetsu no shoujo is "this month's girl!" However "girls of the moon" would just be 月の少女 I think (I'm not a native speaker tho) The MV is also loaded with easter eggs &amp; references! For instance, in the beginning when Heejin is pictured floating in the air in a yellow outfit, she's surrounded by cleaning products - a callback to her solo video. You're correct in saying that's Yeojin's solo video outfit. Hyunjin sits on a planet with a cat's tail, Haseul is surrounded by bare tree branches &amp; birds, Chuu sits on a green apple...it's a nice little recap of the Loonaverse imo. I really love this video &amp; debut and hope it brings them a lot of success in Japan
