idk if this counts as a spoiler but since you were wondering about if the money went to the victims' families, i dont think they did because the money still ended up being 45.6b

man this episode was so tense and im so curious to know what the cop is gonna do now that he is in there

just a quick explanation regarding the price money... it didn't go "down". It stayed the same. Every player is "worth" 100 million. The counter shows the price money already accumulated for every eliminated player. So 25,5 billion because 255 players got eliminated in the first game. Max price pool is 45,6 billion because of 456 players. They didn't pay out the 100 million won to the families of the killed players, because they waited after the vote if the majority of the players would return to resume the games. Since the games got resumed, nothing got paid out and the price pool is still as before. I guess the few players that didn't came back will be counted as "eliminated". The max price pool is still 45,6 billion and the accumulated money in the piggy bank (the number shown on the board) is still 25,5 billion because of the 255 eliminated players in the first game.

I wonder how accurate the translation is. You already watched 3 episodes but i didn't hear you correct any of the subtitles.

I think the money would have actually gone to the dead people if the majority did not elect to return. In my head the game was not over yet, because they had a chance to come back, so the price pool remained the same.

Before they sent them back to the "real world", the square said that they'll give them an opportunity, which is going back and deciding if they truly want to terminate the games or not, so the pool of money hasn't changed, the dead haven't been paid (the total would be 45,6 billion by the end, but with them monitoring those who didn't return, I do wonder how that's going to play out)

I've watched the show a couple times now and this time I had a new thought speaking on Sangwoo. I definitely think it's s***** of him to not have shared his suspicions about the game with his team and let them all do the triangle but for the first time it struck me that even if he knew what game they were playing he wouldn't have known the dynamics of the game for example if they announce the rules and all of a sudden you are competing against all the people who picked the same shape as you and let's say the first 10 people to successfully do it pass and everyone else gets eliminated now it's a very different situation. I'm not saying that was his motivation I think it was greed just saying how a small change in the rules could have made his decision valid.
