That good, huh 😂 Edit to add: Contrary to the popular pick Cast Pearls Before Swine, my favorite bside is actually 2am(second is So Why) ! Something about how smooth and jazzy it is without being boring, and how well it highlights their beautiful vocals. It gives me a cozy feeling 💕

This album is so good, and the fact they worked on most of the songs and Yuki wrote all of her raps... they are monsters. As for Yuki's glow up, she said she still isn't fluent in Korean so she tries to stick her raps to having simpler words that she already knows, and if she has something she wants to say but don't know the exact Korean words to express it, she goes to any member closest to her and they all help her. She has also been getting mentored by Moonbyul privately.

The term "Cast pearls before swine" actually comes directly from the bible. It's a proverb adapted from a saying of Jesus from the Gospels, “Cast not pearls before swine.” Jesus appears to be warning his disciples to preach only before receptive audiences. If you say that someone is casting pearls before swine, you mean that they are wasting their time by offering something that is helpful or valuable to someone who does not appreciate or understand it. Just like a pig that is unable to appreciate the value of pearls.

They are it! They are the rookie group I've been most excited for since I learned about them in 2019 as trainees and they did not disappoint. I'm so glad you had a chance to check out the EP because honestly this is up there with the favorite albums of the year for me. Also Yuki is credited on all the songs as she writes her own raps. Since she is credited on all their songs on both EPs, she is now already the 2nd most credited 4th gen female idol - just behind Soyeon! Super impressive considering they just debuted this year and she isn't even Korean!!! I love this group

4 Gen is just different bro Also PD here is and idea for "ZzzzZ" I want you to just lay back with headphones and close yours eyes and do nothing you'll feel a completely different vibes from that song it's actually insane when you relax and listen to it

PD, did you notice that the distribution on the lines was more even on the song that Chaein produced/composed? i totally get that some songs are not meant to be fair, but i respect a lot the fact that she tries to make her songs fair in terms of distribution. Edit now that I finished watching: I agree, album is definitely 11/10, there are no skips at all!! I had Cast Pearls Before Swine on repeat recently, but after this i will add Twinkle to that playlist too, i rediscovered that track with your reaction :)

She's not only talented but also very confident in her skills wich is probably even more important. RBW really made sure to include song writing/production as part of training and evaluation in their trainee time.

Im not usually into girl groups but damn Purple Kiss hits differently and so good!! I dunno how people are going to see this comment but hear me out... Im in no way comparing any of these groups but.... I feel like Purple Kiss has finally filled the void that Sistar and 2NE1 left in the kpop world. I mean that with the greatest repsect for those girls because Sistar and 2NE1 were the best of kpop. I can hear Sistar doing 2 am and 2NE1 doing ZZZ unless its just me?? Purple Kiss is so good they're so talented and have beautiful voices. I dont know the members yet but Im gonna learn them! Purple Kiss will be huge and they just debuted

twinkle still my favourite song off the ep shes incredible but youre right the album is a solid 11/10!!! finding these gems predebut was one of the greatest things ever they're so full of potential and brimming with talent 💕

i also got Mamamoo vibes from twinkle, but for me it was more "starry night" that the guitar reminded me of. but yeah, twinkle getting that 11/10 rating truely deserved, it's also my favourite track from this ep ✨

I definitely agree that Go-Eun and Sean are their heavy hitters vocal-wise. However, I almost wish they would pull those two back a bit more because I think Ireh, Dosie, and Chaein would REALLY shine on more upbeat pop songs. I feel like the difference between “2am” and “Twinkle” is a perfect example of that. Those three have a bit more oomph and Sean and Go-Eun have more of a charming alternative vibe. Just my opinion, of course 🙃

I'm sure the members do get a say in terms of line distribution on songs they worked on, but I think its still ultimately up to the company. 2AM's is kinda ridiculous no matter how you look at it. The other "slow" song on the album ZzZz is MUCH more fair by comparison (one of the reasons I prefer it). As much as I LOVE purki and their music, the distribution is definitely a problem on quite a few songs. You could make the arguement that Ireh and (especially) Dosie get some shine in terms of dance. But that still leaves Jieun with scraps.. Hopefully its something that slowly improves over time. Zombie definitely was more fair than Ponzona so thats something. Either way this album is awesome! They continue to have a great discography, and I can't wait for their next album <3 (more Chaein songs pls)

Yes! Twinkle is a god-tier song! And the album is amazing. Not many girl groups blow me away like this, but Purple Kiss did it easily.
