To answer your travel question. For me food and where I stay are very important. So I wouldn't even consider travelling if I knew I would have to sacrifice one of them. So I probably would spend less on activities. But I'd make sure my budget is just more than enough so I can have it all.

When I travel I don't save anywhere, I go kinda crazy in all aspects of the vacation, especially food... unfortunately, this means I go on less vacations than I might otherwise.

Giselle

In the first BV1 they are clearly so inexperience in traveling without their manager micromanaging their stuff. It's both funny and anxiety inducing.

I think in a lot of countries (at least those I visited) you can visit a lot of things/see a lot of different landscapes for free except for amusement parks and such so I keep my money for food and the locations I stay in because those are expensive and for me it plays a huge part in a country's culture. The only exception so far for me was the United States because every touristic thing was SO expensive whereas the food was kind of affordable.

Excited for you to see how they mature throughout the seasons! Although the trend of losing items never left them 😂

I used to save up on fares like taking night planes with many connections or buses (through Europe, US is wild in that regard) and accommodation but spend how I want on a trip itself, having nice meals or taxi rides etc. But all my trips are usually pretty short so I don't have much opportunity to go over budget. Also I say use dto because after turning 30 I can't do it anymore. I need a decent night sleep now but I earn more so it adds up! xD

Loved rewatching this. For me, the locations I visit (museums, monuments, etc) take priority over food and lodging.

The scenery gets better and better every season! That V hidden camera is so iconic, I remember when I first watched it I felt so bad for Tae, it's crazy how inexperienced they are but it kinda makes it really wholesome and relatable. I'm a very budget type person but I do save up enough for a trip to the point I can enjoy myself, scenery and authentic food I try to not be on a tight budget.

A Fjord is by definition "A long narrow inlet consisting of only one inlet created by glacial activity". The place the ferry was traveling through was a fjord. Often characterised by water (from the sea) surrounded by steep mountains that go on for quite a bit. The word itself is norwegian.

Wow so rewatching this with all the current Jin Feats/ Rumours BTS keep making up about him (the table-flipping incident) going around. Like now I understand why the boys made it seem like Jin fought the company for them to get good food. he did not look happy with the half meals and the boys really seemed kinda upset about it. As for the travel budget, I have three separate sets of money, one set for buying random stuff including food and snacks, one set for things like groceries and one set for emergencies like flight changes or heavier luggage. there is no budget within that. whatever happens within those subsets is fair game.

For me when it comes to travel & budgeting I like to spend most of my money on experiences. Tbh if I’ve got lots of plans for the day the last thing on my mind is food so if I’m travelling alone I usually eat light for lunch & then go somewhere nice for dinner. But when I’m travelling with others then I try to incorporate nice food places in our plans. For example when I went to Italy with my family, I knew that where’ve we went we’d have to find food places that do halal food, since my family are Muslim. Luckily Rome has a bunch of halal Indian restaurants so not only did my parent eat well but they also had food acquired to their tastes. & since I was the one organising the entire trip we couldn’t help but spend most of our money on food, even if it wasn’t local food. But yeh on my own I don’t really prioritise food much but with others I always make sure at least they’re fed good food, even if it is a bit pricey.

I can't believe how forgetful they are about their stuff. It gives me anxiety! But to answer your question when I travel I like to stay somewhere I can cook, so I can go to restaurants and grocery stores. When I traveled alone I used to stay in hostels because they are cheap and have kitchens. Saving on the accomodation and cooking for myself sometimes means I don't have to feel guilty splurging on a fancy meal, or wine or shopping.

I'm drinking an iced matcha green tea from starbucks too as I'm watching this lol

Personally, I'm not someone who takes a lot of pleasure on food in general, so that's never on my top priorities when traveling. I'd say the most important part for me is where I'm staying so I definitely prefer to spend a bit more to stay somewhere safe, clean, with a nice location in the city etc. And then I spend a lot of gifts for my friends and family, it's just something I absolutely love spending money on to the point my mom had to ask me to stop buying her stuff when I travel because I do go a little overboard sometimes

location/the place i’m staying would definitely be one of my main priorities cuz i wanna be comfortable and not super stressed about safety/stuff getting stolen, but i think i’d also save a lot of my budget for food. i agree about food being a way to experience other cultures (and i mostly wanna travel outside the US), especially since i associate my own culture as an asian/filipino-american with food. it’s less that i’d go to really nice restaurants and buy rlly expensive food (i’m sure i’d eat a lot of street food and quick meals) and more that i wanna try everything lmao. im still young though and i’ve only traveled with my family so i can’t be 100% sure about it, but i want to travel a lot when i’m a little bit older than i am now so i’ve given it a lot of thought.

Isabella N.

also, their forgetfulness is so painful to watch. i’m super forgetful in my daily life, but i’m also rlly anxious and paranoid about leaving important stuff, especially on a trip, so i would be frequently checking for my phone, passport, tickets, etc. i also have a medical condition that requires a lot of medicine/supplies so i can never afford to accidentally leave a bag somewhere

i really do love how you decided to start with season one of bon voyage. not only it just makes sense to start at season one but you’ll also be able to see how much they have grown and matured. it’s so amazing to see!! i’m very excited for you to watch the rest of this season and other seasons as well! you’ll also be able to see this gradual change on run bts as well so i can’t wait till you start watching it! :) it’s truly amazing to be able to see this content they have and look back to when they were younger and had no idea how big they would become in the upcoming years. ahh it gets me emotional

thank you so much💜💜... for me, I always want to buy things from every country I visit, but somehow my family thinks that unnecessary... I don't know but if I could travel alone I will spend most of the money on souvenir shop and food of course any way thank you, I can't wait for the next ep

when my family travels overseas, we usually spend the most money on a nice hotel. we don't stay at the grandest places, but somewhere that is close to all of the most famous sites. we usually pack the itinerary quite full so we usually won't eat breakfast unless complementary breakfast was included in the price of the room. lunch we would get something small and dinner is when we would splurge the most. i can honestly survive on one meal a day but we usually are super busy and walking around for hours. in Europe, its also common to walk a lot so we did that mostly and didn't really need to uber or taxi anywhere unless it was really far. when we stay domestic (US), we usually spend the most on somewhere to stay. we often try to get somewhere with a kitchen so we can cook breakfast and lunch and dinner some nights instead of going out.

I definitely prioritize food and experiences while traveling. But I'm also bad at budgeting and more of a do whatever now and figure it out later type of person lol
