with every EP the b-sides just get better and better. The way you described the nostalgia of weeeklys sound is probably why i love this group so much, Soojins lines in the bridge of "memories of summer rain" get to me in a way i can't describe lmao

I'm glad Jihan got some recognition for her vocals. I think I can safely say, after hearing all the covers and live performances they've done so far, I'd rank her 3rd in terms of vocal ability behind Monday and Soeun. I think Jiyoon is very close behind her but just comparing the two, I personally think Jihan has more range to her vocals. At least based off what I have seen so far. Also they actually have an MV for Check it out. I was initially going to recommend it for the listening party but realized there are some parts of the audio they drowned out in the MV. The MV is sort of a montage style video and lots of fun so I'll link it and check it out if you want to ;) https://youtu.be/NNN9PMnL0yk

Why does PD sound like Kermit The Frog while imitating Jihan? 😂 Ok, but seriously. The way you described this EP is exactly how I feel. Sad, but in a good way. Weeekly and nostalgia; name a better duo. They've really found their sound. Really hope Jiyoon gets better soon! Missed her writing on this EP 🥲. But I do hope the whole group gets a good rest for the rest of the year.

Weeekly is the Gen Z Nostalgic Group. Can't agree more. They have the best set of songs and sounds in every album that they released. My fave song for this album is La Luna and Memories of Summer Rain. I don't know why when I listened to Memories of Summer Rain, I always shed my tears. It must've been really nostalgic for me. 😅

My favorite on the whole album, including the title track, is Weekend. It's so purely their sound encapsulated! I agree with it being the spiritual sequel to After School. (close second fav is Memories of Summer Rain) I had a sort of debate/argument with someone about Weeekly - their interest was fading because they thought "they keep doing the same thing" and was tired of the school girl concept. They wished they would go more girl crushy or try something more dark/charismatic because they feel like the girls would be better suited for it(esp. Monday and Soeun) While I don't doubt they can rock that sound later on if they so chose, I think they have perfectly found their "sound" - at least for this stage in their lives since half of them are still pretty young. Let them enjoy their youth! Let the music evolve organically over time(with some experimentation), I say. Plus, with Jiyoon usually being so actively involved with their music production, one can't say that the girls DON'T want this sound. Again, at least for now. There's having a pigeonholed sound/concept (lowkey Momoland as an example, I'm so sorry Merries) - and just finding Their Sound. I don't think their titles sound the SAME but rather, they all sound like **WEEEKLY** - that's the difference to me. On the similar trajectory, Gfriend had this criticism/praise as well for their early sound and concept. And while they sadly unexpectedly ended, they were transitioning their sound just fine in the latter half of their career.

I'm not sure what my favorite track is yet but i know Weeekly is my #1 favorite group just to listen to. all 4 eps are full of joy in the music and performance. even a slower song like Memories of Summer Rain expresses a beautiful feeling. What's great about Weeekly is they capture that "gen z nostalgia" and celebration of youth in a way that's very uniquely Weeekly. It's impossible not to smile as the talk about hanging out after school or the social landscape of twitter haha. even when they talk about something like climate change on "My Earth" they do it with such a youthful optimism. Weeekly's music always carries the feeling of anything being possible. as they declare in "weeekly" "we're gonna make you happy!" in short stan Weeekly. thank you for coming to my ted talk lol

I have been waiting for this, the album is a masterpiece. I LOVE Weekend and Memories of Summer Rain. Check it out reminds me of early TWICE B-sides. This album is probably my favourite Weeekly album, followed by We Can.

memories of summer rain actually made me tear up just now like i loved that song already but it hit different suddenly. i cant decide if la luna, mosr and weekend are my favorite on the album! this definitely took a turn from their previous albums but its still just as good

This album was a 20/10 i will fight anyone who says anything less lol. Weeekly is just so good its crazy. My number 1 ult Rookie group, no misses only banger after banger B sides included.
