Weather was a rejected (G)I-DLE title track. Soyeon had to choose between Weather and DUMDI DUMDI and she eliminated Weather. She then took it and made it her solo.

Soyeon did what Soyeon does. I think what this EP does a great job of, is clearly showing how passionate she is about the music and that she really is a great director. There was an interview where she was asked 3 words to describe her she said - Now, Honesty and Freedom. She says this is what she uses while writing lyrics and making songs. There's a radio interview of her with Zion T where she talks in detail about her music and her passion for it. It's an amazing interview. I hope you ever listen to it.

You're right about Soyeon's vocal versatility. She had a vlive recently where she played a demo version of one of Idle's songs that had her guide vocals on it, and she's really good at mimicking the other members' voices. I'm sure that comes in really handy when she's writing music for them.

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SO MUCH!! and im so happy you loved the ep PD, this is definitely one of my top favorite releases this year every song as you said is so fenomenal and unique, the lyrics are so incredibly good too idk how cube let her do all that in is this bad b***** number but im glad they did because its my favorite song and i loved all the sass she put in it and i also just love how Soyeon proved once more that she can do it all, she can do any style and be equally amazing in both singing and rapping i really think shes the definition of all rounder

ah this was what I was most excited for - I can’t believe I didn’t notice you’d posted it! your reactions were like the exact same as mine, as I said before: one of the only eps I’ve ever adored every single song on. Soyeon just oozes personality and surety in her style and person and it’s incredible to experience!

Maybe it's because Soyeon has been in the public eye since P101 that I already consider her 5 years into her career that I didn't even consider that in the context of (G)I-DLE she can still be considered early in her career.

Always felt that Soyeon is the 4th gen leader. Other groups or idols may have more hits or more fans. But when it comes to artistry, actual talent, being able to sing, rap, dance and compose interesting melodies that even if you dont like you can respect? No one can touch Jeon Soyeon.

Soyeon wanted to write some music that isn't favored by mainstream pop, which she can't do as part of g-idle. So this is her doing w.e she wants. Also I feel she's one of the few artists that manage early on in their career to not be afraid of getting cancelled by her company because she can succeed at any other label the moment she leaves, so cube let's her write her own stuff
