If you pause on the 2nd photo of Annie, you see the back of the CEO (confirmed through the reflection) and you can see they are standing in front of building that says “HOTEL”.

You was wondering what that picture was supposed to insinuate, and I can't explain it to you without ruining the plot, but I'll give you the basics and see if you can figure it out lol...so that photo contained an older man, a young girl, and a hotel sign. That's all I can give you. Also with Eunjo I think it's intentional that we don't know much about him, or Annie. They're distant memories, or "forgotten" as the journalist said when talking to Ji Hak. It kinda reminds me of new kpop fans with Hyuna and Dawn in the sense that new kpop fans don't really know, or care about them unless it effects their faves ie the (G)I-DLE situation and how fans online used Hyuna and Dawn as a comparison when their situations were completely different. We're made to only care about the past when it's effects the future it's basic human nature.

If you’re looking for recommendations for a more light hearted drama to watch after this one (though some episodes aren’t really), i think you would love Hospital Playlist. I feel like it would be a break from the stress you get from dramas like penthouse.

Your reactions to the sasaengs is hilarious. You literally scoff everytime they're on-screen lol

This is my least favorite episode. It isn't as bad as I remembered, but I still have problems with it. I also think the last three are on the stronger side. I really felt like it was obvious that they had broken up looking from the outside if you already knew they were dating and it should have been immediately clear to both of them why the breakup happened and the other's reaction. The scene where Yoojin asked Hyunji out also didn't sit right with me. Yoojin came off as very dismissive and somewhat insincere to me. Maybe it's because I don't speak Korean, but the way he was like you forgive me right and then moved on without hearing her answer upset me. The fact that Hyunji was upset at Maha for dating, which is valid, and then breaking up so fast and then starts going out with Yoojin feels very hypocritical. Idols should be allowed to date, but her being angry at Maha and then dating Yoojin who gave a lackluster apology doesn't make sense/work for me. Ryeok punching Hyun Oh was like that car crash at the end of episode 6? It felt very out of place and just to add drama. I think it makes more sense here cause he's seeing his relationship with Maha, but I still didn't like it. Also how is he able to appear on a show if he started a fight? Did the agency cover it up on the larger scale? I don't know why Hyun Oh was in the storage room either. This show presents a lot of ideas without exploring a lot of them. I think they could insert more of the Eunjo things in as epilogues if they want to remind us that he still exist and isn't just walking around the city, maybe have him in some background shots when Maha goes running. I'm excited for you guys to react to the next couple of episodes though.

I know what you meant with Chani - I was watching a drama called Signal when Kingdom started airing that he plays a small role in (I mention the time because I didn't really know much about SF9 before watching Kingdom). I found his performanvce in that to be similarly powerful/moving as that of the lead characters. I think the way that drama was written helped with that also - you care a lot about his character because the other characters care so much about him even though you don't see a lot of him on screen (compared to other cast members).

yeah Chani is such a great actor and hes been doing it for such a long time already that i think its just so natural for him, i really wish they used his character more and maybe had an episode focused on exploring more his and shax's pasts i really liked La Ri Ma in this episode too and the way she tries to help them in her own way she is such a good and complex character but along with many others is kinda wasted on this show
