Thanks pd for this wonderful journey ❤

it's not a rumor that Seventeen is going to do(?) in the Soop. It's on Weverse

Teagan

In The Soop Seventeen ver. is confirmed to be happening, im so excited for it!

Anonymous

I loved what you said at the end of the video! I personally think that RUN BTS! and Bon Voyage are really great to get to know the members

Monse

YUP! i believe the first episode is set to premiere this month, the trailer for it has already been released and it looks so comforting 😊

There's a saying that goes you don't find BTS, BTS finds you when you need them and I didn't understand what people were going on about until I was going through hard time back in 2018 and the love yourself albums were coming out. Totally reminded me that life is shit sometimes but that's okay. BTS is a group that I always come back to because they truly are my therapy. Glad you enjoyed the experience.

Anonymous

i really hope you start bon voyage with s4 , that would be really easy for you to see their chemistry. s4 gives a more feeling ike in the soop. then you can more to the others

I actually played The Resistance with my family and as we were reading the rules I realized that it was just a different version of this game so I already knew how to play which was nice. It is a super fun game. I don't know if you are ever planning on watching docu-series but I really think you would like them. They really show the behind the scenes of tours and how well they work together.

Giu Bressani

i really loved what you said there in the end. I always say the same thing, that what makes BTS so special its the fact that it's the 7 of them together and that's why their success cannot be ever replicated. That's obviously combined with their music, talent and some great marketing strategies BigHit pulled over the years, but in the end, a lot of of their success and accomplishments come from the fact that their fans love who they are so much that they will go to the end of the world to give BTS whatever it is. And that kind of relationship between the members and the fans is a once in a lifetime thing

ADB

it's been so great to re-watch this you! it's nice to see you connect with them on a deeper level and genuinely enjoy watching these relaxing episodes, can't wait for bon voyage!! :)

Harley

I'm glad this has helped you to "see the purple light" in a way because when I tell people my ult group is bts and they aren't armys they kinda think "aren't they too big/ oh you just like them because they are huge" which definitely isn't true. I stan other groups but bts are just special in the way they interact and how they connect with people. BTS have even said it must have been fate to put them all together by how well they work and love each other. There's a reason so many people love them and I think you explained it well. Armys like to say they don't find bts but bts find you when you most need them which is definitely true for me back in 2017. Watching In the Soop inspired me to cook during the early parts of the pandemic. BTW all the product placements that you didn't notice included: Hyundai, Samsung, Paldo Cold Brew, Fila, Baskin Robbins, Hello Nature, Kloud Beer, Chilsung Cider and there's probably more tbh lol. BTS are really good at product placement and making it very unnoticeable.

Hahah yeah agree with @nizzytoyo11 that BV s4 is the most like In the Soop. Tbh it's my personal favorite Bon Voyage season, but I can understand how going in order and seeing how it changes/grows is really interesting and cool too. I think they're the most relaxed in BV s4 and comfortable with just chilling. Also personally like the production most in s4 (prob cuz it's very much like In the Soop in production style).

Six of the members created art on In the Soop and their art really seems to reflect them as people. Not just aesthetically but in their approach too. Jin's is about function. He pays a little attention to the aesthetic but really he's going for something practical that serves a means to an end. No frills, no fuss, just what gets the job done. Joon's is intellectual and time consuming--a labor of intention and growth, with a huge focus on the practice but also the natural aesthetic. Tae's is spontaneous and abstract and a little humorous and non-traditional. Koo's was effortless and instinctual and the end-product was way better than anyone else just casually picking up a brush and trying to paint something could hope to do. Suga's was monochromatic, abstract but minimalist, and somewhat emotional. And Hobi's was bright and playful and of course, hopeful, but also contemporary and cool and theatrical (like modern pop-art), it had a graffiti feel that matches his street hip hop background. And despite the seemingly chaotic splashing of color, he had a plan going in and was very exacting in the execution. Anyway, every time I watch in the Soop, I think it's really interesting that the art reflects the artist. It's common sense that it would but it's still cool to see.

I got so emotional when I heard your speech at the end! I'm so happy that you really got into BTS recently and gained an even deeper understanding and appreciation of them 💜 Even though I watched this series for the second time here, it was still very inspiring and made me re-think some stuff about my life. Can't wait for Bon Voyage! I know everybody says to start with Season 4 but I think it's better to go in order. Going back to their 2015/2016 content with Run and Bon Voyage is also very insightful and I think you will enjoy comparing those times to how far they've come since.

Monse

Im really happy you found just as much comfort and peace from the show as many army did ❤❤ after your speech at the end I'm really excited to see your reaction to bon voyage, especially the first 2 seasons. I'm glad you noticed their loving brotherly bond, but you'll see from watching bon voyage that building such a relationship took lots of work just like their fame and success. they've been very open about not always getting along and having rough patches but always pulling through stronger than ever. also in the earlier seasons, you'll get to see a bit of their "humble beginnings". They were doing well but nowhere near where they stand now and honestly it's very fascinating to watch.

Giulia Arnone

That’s a beautiful message you sent there at the end, and it was without embellishments which I appreciate a lot. thank you for this journey !

It's okay if you're "late." You don't find BTS, they find you precisely when you need them. I'm glad you reacted to in the soop, and I'm glad that it has been a form of therapy for you, as it has been with many ARMYs. I'm eager for you to see them grow up in the form of bon voyage and run, you'll come across many touching moments between them. They're loving, funny, hungry, and chaotic, so strap in and hold on tight!

Dee

Can’t wait for you to get to season 4 of bon voyage - I’m a little biased as its shot in my country and its just such a wholesome season - very similar to in the soop

Anonymous

Hobi's Painting has provoked so much of my thinking space since ive seen it but the way i view it personally is its a depiction of the world currently and what music and BTS mean to it The world is so colorful and beautiful yet negativity and darkness are imprisoning that beauty so it cant fully show Music Art and BTS especially create and escape or passage way to make it easier to see the beauty in the world

SNBangtan

Commenting again to talk about your final comments. I think you really hit the nail on the head at some parts. BTS is so special with regard to their relationship. Their music is great but other artist have great music. They're beautiful but there are a lot of beautiful people. The buy in truly comes out of our love for them as individuals and as a brotherhood. j-hope once said that they hope what they're remembered for is their sincerity and I've never seen people who I read as "sincere" as much as these boys. It adds depth to their music for me. It's the reason why Jin can tell me that "I'm the one I should love" and I suddenly believe it three decades into my life. Stanning them feels like I'm part of something bigger. I'm as a-spiritual as they come but it feels almost impossible that the universe didn't work some serious magic to place them on top of the world and also right in my path. And each other's. Their song Heartbeat imagines a timeline where they hadn't met and yet they still feel the destiny in each other, in Bangtan. It sounds so cheesy to talk about. But they truly are so so special. I've known they were going to do "In the Soop" with other Hybe groups since they registered the trademark as just "In the Soop" but I do wonder how similar the vibes will be. The entertainment is literally their bond. Really they're just eating and sleeping and talking and playing ping pong--turning that into a show that is watchable and healing is challenging and groups with less chemistry may have a hard time with it. The whole concept of "let's strip everything back, show our whole messy, imperfect, genuine selves and just be together in the forest" is so inherently BTS...I'm just interested to see what other groups will do with it. Also, what are they going to do for the theme song? haha. (Full disclosure--I genuinely don't know anything about Seventeen--I just (like PD) think what Bangtan has is really rare and there aren't a lot of other groups with that level of synergy that they can just be on top of each other for a week with nothing to do and still have a good time. haha)

Brittney Danielle

Not encouraging you to look into them (you do you) but just had some insight from your comment. I became an ARMY in 2015 and became a CARAT (Seventeen fandom name) roughly two years after I became an ARMY because I felt the same feeling from SVT. I think a lot of ARMY will be surprised (if they care to look into it) at the similarities. Not comparing because they are entirely different groups with each of their own achievements but I personally feel the same genuine sincerity and love from SVT that I do from BTS which is why I also fell down the SVT rabbit hole lol.

EB

I very much agree with PD’s comments at the end of the episode and am so glad they were able to enjoy and benefit from the series. Like so many others, I found BTS when I needed them most. In June of last year I lost my dad due to COVID. I was living alone and working from home due to the pandemic, and was in a very dark place mentally. A couple weeks after my dad passed, I stumbled across a BTS MV on YouTube and fell down the rabbit hole. I desperately needed a mental distraction and the wide array of BTS content provided it. In The Soop holds a special place in my heart because it started airing in August of that year and offered calming, healing entertainment that put me in the headspace to sort through my chaotic thoughts. I’ve also found their three docuseries to be surprisingly introspective, self-aware, and thought provoking. I’m a few years older than Jin, but was impressed with the kernels of wisdom the members impart, some of which have positively changed my views and attitude about work, my relationships, and life in general. I know PD has 4 seasons of Bon Voyage to get through, but would definitely recommend checking out the documentaries at some point.

Love every minute of this…kind of held off watching for a while but it was great to watch along

Thank you for reaction in the soop, i hope you will watch “you quiz on the block bts episode” it’s a good interview and fun ;)

I've been a KPOP fan since 1997 (lol H.O.T.!) and have been a fan of BTS since their debut. I'd probably rank them 3rd or 4th amongst my all-time favorite KPOP groups. While I have loved other groups more, BTS are the ones who I find whenever I need them (or they find me lol). I'll go through months/years without much time to follow them closely, but whenever I've needed some distraction, some smiles and genuine laughter, BTS has provided it to me. There's something so sincere about all 7 of them, something I've not seen again in another group in 24 years of being a KPOP fan. Watching them today I see the same 7 boys that I watched even pre-debut in their vlogs when they were nowhere near famous. Yes they are older, more mature, more confident, etc but they are still the same people that they were 8 years ago. I've loved seeing them grow into the artists that they are, and I'm glad that they found you when you needed them too!

Julianne

Omg I 100% agree with your ending statements. It's really how I feel too about BTS.

Julianne

I think for me the combination of casual BTS in Run and deeper BTS in the docu-series were a great way to get to know BTS. And most importantly just organically listening to their discography. Bc I think BTS has some of the most... personal discographies? I don't want to discredit any other kpop artists who DO write their music -- and I know there are definitely a not-insignificant number of them. But BTS discographies is very...blatantly and consistently about their own stories and growth/maturity as people. BTS in the Soop was definitely one of my first BTS reality shows though and I loved it. It's right up my alley -- I love watching ppl live their lives and see how they interact with ppl day to day.

Sherry

You can search for seventeen in the soop trailer on youtube it looks so fun im sure you're gonna enjoy them :)

eli_nhdoaek

BTS also came to my life when I was in a slump. Just like as Suga said one time, if you remove all the prejudice and judgement you have, you will appreciate their music more. I hope people do that. If they just get past the bts is overrated hype train, they will find a whole new world of healing

milli_moodz00

Ahhhhh PD I enjoyed watching this with you, it made me fall in love with BTS all over again. Can't wait to watch Bon Voyage with you next!! <3

Eme123!

Yeah! Seventeen just started in the soop!

Samy

One of my favourite thing about BTS other than their music is their personalities and their dynamics as group wether being it all together or in duos, trios etc. You'll get to see that more in Bon Voyage and Run and I definitely felt a deeper connection through their variety shows and got to love them more, through Bon Voyage you can get to see their growth as individuals, as a group and their experiences throughout the 4 seasons is soo cool to see and Run is soo fun and competitive. In the soop was such a good show, it truly felt so healing especially during the prime covid times. I hope you eventually also get to their docu series's that are more behind the scenes of concerts etc. they literally have a variety shows for everything and quality for all is amazing and improves so much during the years and you get to know each aspects of each member. BTS truly holds a special part in my life and has helped me so much. I can't wait for you to get to know them even more through their older content you'll get to know even more of their personalities and growth to where they are now like I feel like especially Tae was a lot more reserved during In The Soop but also maybe because of the way they filmed the show plus he's definitely grown up a lot and matured but it's fun seeing their younger days in their older variety contents and I can't wait till you see it, BV 1 is a great season and wholesome 😊

Viviena

I enjoyed this journey immensely! Can’t wait to see Bon Boyage. I’ve actually watched the first season just recently and I’m very eager to watch it with you again!!

JJ

So excited for you to check out Bon Voyage, it’s so good!! I havent seen many people recommending their docu series Burn the stage, break the silence and bring the soul. It really taught me so much more about them as an army

R875d

when PD was talking about BTS I don't know why my eyes were filled with tears, I remembered when jhope says meeting with BTS members was fate, it is truly was. anyways I really find this show inspirational, when I watched it for the first time, I noticed how much they appreciate and thank each other even for smaller things, like when V wash the dishes, or someone drove the car, that made me think again about my attitude with friends & family, it is not like I was rude with them, it just I want to appreciate everything they do. I don't know why I got emotional but I am happy now, this day wasn't the best so this episode is what I needed.. thank you PD as always I enjoy watching with you💜🙏

Kay Ainge

I'm so excited for svt in the soop its gonna be amazing 😁

I really enjoyed rewatching this alongside you! Can’t wait for the bon voyage reactions coming up next :) and I totally agree with your end speech - like lots of kpop groups make music I enjoy and casually listen to but BTS’ personalities, honesty and bond is what made me so invested in them and why I think they have truly curated a fan base for life

Anonymous

If you liked the board game you'll LOVE bts run

Anonymous

If you want to more healing content from bts, Bonvoyage season 4 is there for you. I really think you dont have to do it in order. If you want to know more about their professional side, then burn the stage series, bring the soul series are there for you too. In those series, you will understand more why they own their success because they are literally the hardest working (I'm not exagerating) idol in the world.

dani

thank you so so much for this! i’m actually so happy that you checked out in the soop before bv and run. i enjoyed watching in the soop with you every week it has been very healing. watching in the soop again made me fall in love with them all over again lol. i agree with everything that you said in the end. them meeting was fate. their rise to success has all been authentic too. they quite literally started from the bottom and rose to the top organically. they mean everything to me and i’m glad this show has shown you why millions of people love them just like me. they truly are so special and you can tell just how much they mean to each other. thank you again and i can’t wait for you to check out bv and run!! also like others have been requesting i also suggest for you to check out their docu series and movies(?) as well!! :)

Moni Kay

I hope you can check out their multiple docu series soon too, I really feel like you get to know them and their story a lot better. Or even their movie is a good place to start. I’m excited to watch Bon Voyage with you. Seasons 3 and 4 are my personal favorites!

a Fan

this was so, so nice and relaxing to watch with you. Thank you!

Dharling

I was dodging the ball with you and started laughing! And now I have watched the entire thing including your reflection in the end. Personally I have wanted to watch "In the Soop" for so long, alongside other stuff like BTS Run and Bon Voyage, however I have been struggling for some time to just sit down and watch stuff in my freetime, and I also get easily overwhelmed. When I heard you were watching In the Soop on your Patreon, I finally decided to join it, because I think I need the feeling of me not just watching it alone, and somebody taking the lead with what we are watching and where we will start. So finally being able to watch it with you was amazing, and I'm so exciting for you to start with their other stuff! Now everybody is saying how Seventeen is next for this show. I don't really know much of them as people, however I am excting to see how it's going to be with them, because it's definitely going to be different because their can never be another BTS, just like their will never be another Seventeen, and I'm really interested in how they work together as a group and people. I'm sad we never got to experience this with Gfriend, because I think they would have been another group that could have been great in this type of setting. Sorry if there is any spelling mistakes. English isn't my first language

Ale

I loved this! thank you for watching in the soop and wanting to know more about bts as a group. I loved what you said in your reflection about luck and opportunity and I remember Jungkook (I believe) saying a similar thing in one of their documentaries. He said "We were lucky, but we've worked hard for that luck." Others have already recommended it but I agree that Bon Voyage is also very entertaining and healing as well as a great opportunity to learn more about the members!

Zukhra Talmanova

idk if you're gonna read it, but thank you so much for having this watch party, PD! It was such a great time! Truly felt like watching it with friend, I laughed with you but still got to enjoy the show to the fullest. For some reason I find it hard to watch such long episodes of variety or really any kind of show myself, it seems like a waste of time, tho I really wanted to watch In The Soop for a long time. But smth would always stop me. But then you started watching it, and since I love bts-related content from creators, I decided to join. I didn't watch all episodes right as they came out, but rather when I had time or energy. And it was so great! This show was so healing and calm, and I'm so glad I finished watching it with you! Don't think I would be able to do so myself. And now I can feel how it reached it climax of some sort. And it's just so relaxing to watch them hanging out together and have fun, be themselves, there is something so special and authentic about that.

Anonymous

I just wanted to really thankyou for watching this series. It was truly a blessing when i watched it for the first time. But recently i have been going through a really rough patch ... I wouldn't have started the series again if not for you . I thought it'd be great to watch it with you. And i really needed this therapeutic healing again. So thankyou. BTS has become one of my biggest support systems. Dare i say that they probably are a bigger support system for me than even my friends rn. I'll forever be grateful to them and so i am really glad that PD also got to know them on a deeper level and see how genuine and special they are 🤍

Chloe Borley-Evans

I recently got back into BTS again these past few days and I've never watched their variety apart from some Run BTS episodes so I was super excited to finally watch In The Soop with you PD! What I've noticed though is that J-Hope and Suga stood out to me the most throughtout these 8 episodes. Suga doesn't surprise me that much since he's been my bias for a long time but I have this new found love and appreciation for Hope that wasn't there before. He was always about, doing stuff with every single member and I loved watching him the most. This might pair with the fact that I'm watching this after his release of jack in the box and his performance at lollapalooza but damn, he had me tripping this whole season. I'm looking forward to watching season 2 and bon voyage with you!
