Nako refers to herself in the 3rd person in Japanese as well, but is trying to do it less. On Vlive a Japanese fan said that the way she refers to herself as "Wai" (a countryside, slangy pronoun young men use refer to themselves, but girls don't use it) is cute. She explains that she's always referred to herself in 3rd person, but one time when going out with her mom, her name was drawing attention (Nako is not a common name.. like.. at all and she's easily the most famous Nako in all of Japan) and her mom wasn't particularly enjoying the extra attention, so she started referring to herself as "Wai" in an effort to stop, but without defaulting to the typical "watashi" pronoun girls use.

Going back to Hitomi saying she has never trained in singing before, that goes for both Sakura and Nako as well. All of the members from AKB48 have never been formally trained in singing or dancing, they all are pretty much self taught when it comes to singing or dancing and they talk about that during the first episode of Produce48.

To give more context to Sakura and Chaeyeon's friendship, during PRODUCE 48, most of the Japanese participants (except a handful few) could not speak Korean so there's the language barrier already. Learning choreography on your own is not easy, especially if it's different from what you're used to. Sakura was stumped learning the choreography to Nekkoya and the language barrier certainly did not help. That's when Chaeyeon approached her and talked to her in Japanese. Chaeyeon assisted Sakura in memorizing the steps to the song. Sakura felt extremely grateful that Chaeyeon approached her and helped her learn the song. Truly, Chaeyeon has been (and always has been) a great friend to each and everyone in the group. Going back to the vocal lessons, Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi (in their original groups) did not get any professional training prior to their debut in Japan. I mean this in the sense of no formal training like in Korean agencies. Also, I did say one needed tissues because this episode goes quite emotional lol I rewatched this episode on my own and yeah, no, I got moved. Looking forward to next next week, PD. I'm extremely sad that X1 made their version of their reality show after their debut... but then MNET just didnt post it due to the controversy... would've loved to see X1 version of IZ*One Chu :((

The no formal training is the reason why i wanted PD to watch produce48. The first two episodes talks about the japan idol culture. And to see a large difference between korean and japanese participants in terms of ability. When PD talk about iz*one growth, he really needs to see their actual starting point in PD48.

I recommend IZ*ONE city because i thought you were going to watch iz*one content chronologically. Basically iz*one city is like eating trip or chemi room. It's a show where they are playing games. Now you have two ways of watching this. Either watch the full episode found in spreadsheet i gave you. Or you can check out mobidic youtube channel. But the last time i check their channel, their playlist for izone city isn't in chronologically order.

When Hitomi answered the question "What do I want to do after our debut?" and said "I want to go on a world tour," I fckn bawled. It was in the plans in early 2020 for them to have a world tour. For their japanese promotions, the next big step would've been them to be the first 4th gen to have a concert in Tokyo dome and a dome tour in Japan. But all they got was a final online concert. Fckn covid...

Still sad that they didn't get to go on that world tour like they always wanted. Still sad that their fans obviously meant SO much to them and they didn't even get to really see them in person for the last 1.5 years they were together.... 😢
