I think the ending was very fitting and satisfying even though I hate "sad" endings. Both our leads had character development but they both stayed loyal to their principals and plans despite their love and thats something realistic and never exists in kdramas. No, LOVE CAN'T BEAT EVERYTHING. Soo Hyun had his plan and also he couldn't just change completetely with all the trauma he was carrying. He did become more sympathetic and caring towards others but what he did was truthful to his character. Hyun Ji did see that "the law" is flawed and sometimes needs bending but despite that she is a police officer that takes her job seriously so it would be out of character for her to let Soo Hyun get away with everything. I really liked this series. It was a breathe of fresh air when it comes to kdramas

i agree with what you're saying, about the drama not being fully fleshed out. but the intense scenes are INTENSE. the scene where nana just tried to tell jang ki young not to shoot, i knew he won't listen because that's just who he is as a person, if he wants to kill, he kills no matter what. ocn is not known for romantic relationships, so i can see why they went for that kind of route with hyunjin and soohyun. i saw some behind the scenes and jang ki young is always smiling ear to ear which is very unlike his character, the cast is generally is very soft off-screen. i think it's a good thing that my favourite thing about this show is the main characters, i think both of them performed well with what they were given. but the way the show confronts thing is just very off-putting. i would probably rate it a 6.5/10

I really hope you get to watch Flower Of Evil next. It’s absolutely amazing and even more mind boggling than this kdrama. I think you’ll LOVE it.

This really was a show for me that had so many good consistent character ideas and insanely good cinematography, and then messed all of that up with bad writing and pacing and no real character development and REALLY awkward editing.
