definitely itaewon class is my fav kdrama! i just really love the story line! and after you check out that i think you would really like crash landing on you! the story is so good and i cried during it(and i nvr cry lol)!

I wanted to recommend sweet home because its really good but i was not sure if you would like it since its more on the scary side and your not really into that. Still i would want you to give it a try

I personally disliked Itaewon class at first I thought that maybe I didn't like it cause the hype built up expectations, so I decided to wait and rewatch it later which I ended up doing a binge session with my sister and I still disliked it, while I like the storyline I never connected with any of the MAIN characters. I'm voting sweet home which I really enjoyed plus I LOVE the actor Lee Do-hyun! I know its a bit gory and your usually not a fan of that but the actors are so amazing I think its worth it. Plus Park Gyu-Young ( who played Juri ) has a main role in sweet home that is very different from her role in It's okay to not be okay

Sweet home is amazing and I would love it if you could check it out. But it is a horror drama and it's very gory so yeah not sure this drama is for you. Plus the girl who plays Nam juri in It's okay not to be okay plays in it!

I voted for Sweet Home because I really enjoyed the storyline whereas I didn't care enough to finish itaewon class and I was 3 episodes till the end. Sweet Home has some gory scenes, I don't really like bloody stuff but I could handle it. Still, so good.

I feel like Itaewon Class got really overrated because it focuses on relevant social topics but sadly in a really forced way.. A few episodes in I was really interested in the story and the characters but later in the series I kinda felt like they pushed the relevant topics too much and also the decisions of the characters were sometimes even a bit absurd in my opinion. I thought that they tried really hard to make the series unique but they just overforced it.. If I compare Itaewon Class to other k-dramas (and I've seen A LOT), this is the only one I might not wanna watch with PD. I don't even think it was bad, I'm just not really sure if I wanna feel the pain of some of the absurdity again. I also felt like the screenwriters thought of their viewers like we are all dumb kids who don't understand anything about the world yet.

I know Itaewon Class is going to win anyway because it's much more popular than Sweet Home and therefore even people who haven't seen it yet will vote for it, I just hope we'll get to see dramas like Crash Landing on You or Flower of Evil in the next Drama Club voting

Since you said you borderline hate/cringe at horror or scary imagery I personally wouldn't choose Sweet Home. It's pretty daring. To be completely honest Itaewon Class isn't that memorable, I mean I only watched it because V sang one of the OSTs if I'm being real DX I think the only reason it was so popular was because the cast is great, but other than that it's not a Drama that left any lasting impression on me script wise :/// BUT HEY you may find something out of it that I didn't!

But personally I still want you to watch Itaewon Class. I’m the type of person that easily gets bored of K-dramas after the first 4 episodes but I really was interested all the way through.

New Drama Suggestion : When The Weather Gets Nice (VIKI). Its a slice of life, wholesome and romance drama... with a HUGE psychologic under story that creeps up throughout the show until it explodes. I personally find slow burning dramas like these boring and long... but The wait and build up... it was worth it. Recommend one day.

They're older, but I still recommend Signal, Chicago Typewriter, and Search:WWW(Lee Dahee is one of the 3 main leads). For something newer, Run On was very good!

Can people please quit recommending Itaewon class. The main female lead is racist, transphobic, and an asshole. She has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

personally i wouldnt go with itaewon class, i watched it because it was so hyped and i couldnt get into it at all. i voted sweet home but since you dont like horror/gory stuff maybe it isnt the best choice either. i’d personally recommend the uncanny counter or penthouse: war in life!

For the most part I don't really like horroresque shows so I couldn't get past the first two episodes of Sweet home and I liked Itaewon Class and would reccomend it, but sadly it lacks the rewatchablity factor for me

Sweet Home is a work of art. Itaewon Class is great too, but there’s just something about the darkness in Sweet Home that makes it addicting. It’s an amazing cast, great effects and an insight into the human psyche that’s unparalleled.

i liked itaewon class, but i cant stand the female lead at ALL. while i didn’t think the other female main character was a good fit as a love interest, at least she had some redeeming qualities as a person (and i found her actions to be more understandable)

Interesting, I don't know if these are the two options I would have recommended for you but if you ask me which I would prefer to watch again then definitely sweet home. It does have a horror theme but honestly as someone who is also a scaredy cat it wasn't truly spooky scary just more gory than anything. However if you really don't like that kind of stuff then I would take that into consideration.

He had such a hard time watching Hotel del Luna because of the ghosts haha I mean he still loved it, but if PD is going to be sitting through 1+ hour episodes each week, I wish he'd watch something he can get really invested in, like how he was with It's ok to not be ok. I think the monster/suspense part will distract him a lot.

I would LOVE to see PD react to Mr. Queen tho! It's funny and it's not your typical tedious historical drama. And I also find The Uncanny Counter a great choice since the "demons" are basically people so they are not scary in a supernatural way, more in a serial killer way.

I jumped on the bandwagon (and because of Seo Joon) and watched Itaewon Class and hated it. I didn't understand the hype at all. The FL is not likeable at all and the plotline is a mess. PD doesn't like scary stuff so maybe Sweet Home isn't a good one, although I did vote for it coz I love it. Some people have already recommended some good ones above so I'll just repeat; Flower of Evil is amazing

Between these two I'd go with Itaewon as I'm also a massive coward. Could probably do with a rewatch of Itaewon because first time I was so fixated on how I disliked every single romantic subplot that I completely missed the point of the show

UGH both amazing choices! While I did enjoy Itaewon Class, I thought Sweet Home was just sooo much better. It brought something different. It can be slightly scary and nerve-racking at times but I didn't think it was bad at all and I'm slightly a wimp when it comes to scary stuff.

Didn't choose Itaewon Class because personally the storyline wasn't that good and the female lead frustrated me. On the other hand, I love Sweet Home but I know you don't like scary stuff (although it should be expected being a zombie/monster series). If you want to watch something else I recommend "Crash Landing on you" because it is funny, light hearted and keeps you intrigued.

I couldn’t get into Itaewon Class even though I like the actors in other projects. I almost never stop watching a drama once I start, but I did for this one. I feel like some people voted for it because they know you don’t like horror and Sweet Home is just less popular in general because of the genre. Kind of wish there was a 3rd option! Flower of Evil was one of my favorites from last year along with Its Okay to Not Be Okay and 18 Again.

Voted for Sweet Home, but I'd love to see you react to korea's recent BL (boys love) dramas! Hwall (ex-the boyz) is in a great one called Color Rush, and there's also Where Your Eyes Linger. Definitely great to see more lgbt representation in korean media
