Ah yay! I recommended Sleep Away and Nada in the community tab, both of which are off her 2030 album she released under 88rising

That red hair girl is Vinida, one of the biggest female rappers in China right now. Lexie makes hiphop music too so they are friends.

Tiffany Jiaxin Huang

you really did Lexie Liu??? I thought you only do Kpop stuff, or at least vids related to the Kpop industry or derived from it.... Maybe international pop as well.... But as a Chinese no complaints! Professional doesn't have boundary... and that's why I came here

Not a big fan of mainland cpop because they don't have good singer song writers, I only like Tiger Hu, the whole cpop scenes is still full of ballads or one hit wonder catchy songs, Taiwanese cpop is shit they been in the pop scenes since the 70s, mainland cpop only started in the 90s so is kpop, so if you want more genre/indie Taiwan is the better choice, most SG/Malay Chinese artist go to Taiwan to promote where they have a Golden Melody Award just like the Grammys, anyway Lexie is a fresh air in the mainland cpop scene, it's very urban but listened to her latest album few months ago it was very disappointing pretty much she only have one style and song structure and melodies is too repetitive.

Ig it has to depend on taste. There are very repetitive songs in Chinese pop, but it's also the same for other countries as well. Taiwan has nice indie, but that doesn't mean china doesn't either. Mainland China just prefers pop more than indie. In the recent times tho, indie becoming more popular. A good example would be "绿色“ or ”green" which went viral in China. A singer that is really making it big with indie is 陈雪凝 or Shirley Chen. If you have catch with Chinese music than you would know who she is. I don't know if you are really familiar with Chinese music, but I would please like you not to downgrade it. The again as I stated it could be a thing of taste. I hope I don't seem offensive.

well, I guess it is a matter of preference. I personally think that the mainland cpop scene has been booming the last 5 years or so. Mainland chinese cpop has a very prominent folk music scene and 中国风/古风 style emerging. Tiger Hu is definitely an older more established singer that's been active since 2002. He's considered an older generation artist. I'm not too sure how much mainland cpop you listen to but, it would be nice to give first time listeners a chance for them to come to their own conclusion if they like it or not. China is large country, there's a lot of music and talent to be discovered there. I feel like it's nicer to be open minded about music.

She's actually described to be like China's Rihanna I believe :O It feels nice as a Chinese person to see more people getting into cpop because there is so much to offer. But I'm so happy that you like her!
