I think the style switch up sounds weird, because the voices don't completely suite the instrumental. They took a song and tried to make it sound different by just using a different instrumental, but they didn't really change things vocally. I think specifically How You Like That could have been different when switched to the JYP style. Doing How You Like That with like a band sound like day6 would have been interesting. With TT specifically, I don't know what made it Big Hit's style. I think they stuck too close to the original sound of the songs. Fire in SM's style was my favorite. I still really like their voices

i also think we need to wait to see more. the girls themselves are really promising. if im not mistaken, i think a couple of them used to be part of the predebut team that Weeekly's Soojin was in, because one was part of plan A's predebut team, another was part of the PlayM girls, and i think there is one who used to be in JYPE. And i think i recall reading that a couple of them have really close relationships with the weeekly members. So, im definitely giving them the benefit of the doubt. They seem to have a lot of potential.

also, my timekeeping this month has been trash, but a couple minutes ago i found out that STAYC debuted today, and NATTY had her comeback today, and even tho i was waiting for both of those things i somehow didn't know they were happening today... yikes.

i just listened to their Debut song (link to MV here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMe1c4UegBY) and i loved it. the fact that they are being produced by BlackEyedPilseung probably has to do with it, but on a first listen, i loved it. their vocal colors are pretty interesting too. i love their voices on the song, even tho the 2 predebut videos weren't that good, it seems the predebut content just didn't do them justice.

I feel like the pre-debut content didn't really do them any favors in terms of showing their talents in full, but after hearing their debut track I'm completely on board with this group

The dancing in the second video was passable but I wasn't overly impressed & the song choices kinda confused me. Another thing that confused me was how many girls are in the group? I feel like we never really saw all of them together. As a set of pre-debut promos these really fell flat. I'm sorry the girls had such poor management decisions made because neither of these make me want to watch their debut.

Their debut was actually really good! Best girl group debut of the year in my opinion
